Is thinking like the main protagonist of an anime/tv show, for a few days, normal after watching it?

I've been watching a boatload of different anime and tv series's in what some would call a marathon (so pretty much the entirety of each series I watch non stop. With a break between each separate anime/tv show of a few days).

I've noticed that for those few days between and especially straight after watching the show, my mind seems to do this thing where I start to think and behave similarly to how the main protagonist of the anime/tv show would think and behave.

So, anyone else on the Escapist experience the same phenomena?

P.S. Or am I just crazy? :p

Guys? Should I tell him?
Please do, I don't have the heart to do it myself.

OT: I don't do that, however after watching a movie, game TV show or anime, or whatever I do tend to replay the entire story in my head but with me instead of the protagonist or some other character, it normally doesn't end well, because I put myself just like I am so it means he's really weak and doesn't know how to fight but still will never back up from the fight.

You mean that he's the only human being, and the rest of us are all alien shapeshifters? Sure!

Well since I see only Bieber avatars, you are not the only one! You are not a unique flower, but one Bieber among many, sorry to inform you

You just had to press the damn button, didn't you?

OT: Hey Mr. you may want to change your title, because the only thing everybody is going to say, is that you're never the only one.

Guys, guys, guys...."Am I the only one" is an exaggeration, meant to put emphasis into his predicament.
However, it often ends up a loaded question, because the (usually)[footnote]Now if you ask you're the only person with your name, of your age, living at your current address, chances are, yes, yes you are the only one.[/footnote] only correct answer answer "No" implies agreement, and having to outright state "No, you're not the only one, but that doesn't mean I agree with you." is something that should not be shoved onto whoever is answering it.

That's why the expression is frowned upon.

Yep. It's a common expression. A hyperbole. You know what he means, God dammit. So yes, it is an exaggeration. Just like when I say this: "If you freak out at this guy for saying 'Am I the only one', then I will tie you to the front of a boat while I navigate the bull shark-filled and rocky area just off the shore here. And should you still have life, I will gather all the jellyfish and all the stingray into a small pool, toss you in, and then create a turbulent whirlpool effect to agitate the creatures around you. And then I'll release the angry sea turtles. And yes, I have a Kraken on retainer. I AM POSEIDON AND I WILL RUIN YOU WITH THE SEA".

When I say that, it might not actually be exactly what I mean.

Maybe. That depends of how well aware are of the Monomyth, "The Hero of The Thousand Faces".

The characters that you may have seen probably were written to resonate with the audience thanks to that theory over there.

Just try to do a maraton of movies like The Rocketeer, Star Wars: A New Hope, Harry Potter and others that have the "hero on a journey kind" of bullshit and you may probably feel the same.

Sometimes my gait will become temporarily similar to certain characters, such as Jesse Pinkman after a Breaking Bad marathon, or Connor from Assassin's Creed 3 for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Yeah so I've changed the title of this thread.
Hopefully I'll get better responses than:

You're supposed to identify with the characters. It's what we call immersion. People just do it differently. Some imagine themselves being the characters, others understand them as a spectator. Some don't understand anything and tend to dismiss things like character development entirely.
