Hey lads.

I'm looking into buying a gaming PC off custompc.ie, its coming in at 817 euro (£643/$1,006).

Now I'm a massive newbie about computer hardware so I would really appreciate any advice the more technologically inclined members of the community could give me, i.e whether or not its a decent build for the price, any glaring flaws with my choices etc.

Case: Gamer Mars MT.
Processor: Intel i3 2100 (dual core) 3.1Ghz.
RAM: 8gb DDR3 1333Mhz.
Optical Drive: 24x Sony DVD Rewriter.
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 1gb GT 430.
Power: 500 Watt with PCI-e connector.
Sound: 5.1 Channel integrated.
Monitor: Benq 18.5" LED (108 quid).
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit (99 quid)
Keyboard and mouse: Come with it.

Ideally I'd like to be able to run the upcoming War Of The Roses game (requirements haven't been released yet unfortunately) at mid-graphics settings, Skyrim with a good few mods (don't care about graphics here), smooth and lag-free Minecraft, shooters at mid graphics and the Total War series.

Would you reckon this build could handle that?

Thanks in advance.

-Edit-

How many years would you reckon this build will last me running the latest games at minimum settings?

Kind of seems a little bad for $1000. The processor and video card specifically.
And what hard drive is in it?

EDIT:

I just had a look at PC Case Gear for a reference on prices and I managed to come up with a better computer for $854 AU

It didn't come with Windows 7 though.

EDIT: 2

Just saw Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit $99

Acer S220HQLBD 21.5in Widescreen LED Monitor $125.00
Gigabyte GK-KM5000R Keyboard and Mouse Set $12.00
CoolerMaster Elite 372 USB3 with Window $48.00
Lite-On IHAS324 24x DVDRW $21.00
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB $125.00
G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT (2x4GB) DDR3 $45.00
Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 0F15629 500GB $69.00
ASRock Z77 PRO4-M Motherboard $105.00
OCZ Fatal1ty Series 550W Modular $75.00
Intel Core i5 2500K $229

I did this quickly but I'm pretty sure all those parts go together just fine.
