I didn't know where to post this, so I'm posting it here.
Simple enough, Australia is flooding, and it just struck me that Yahtzee lives there.
So ummm, is he alright?
How's he holding up?

Why not read his "online journal" instead of asking us who don't know him? http://fullyramblomatic-yahtzee.blogspot.com/

Also, he's been living there for years, I doubt he's unadapted to the lifestyle.

As far as I'm aware he's doing fine. It's not like all of Australia is flooded, anyway, just a small part of it. Though according to Twitter last night, the Mana Bar had to close because of some flood evacuation warnings, so a planned Yahtzee Quiz Night was cancelled...

Australia is a very large country. Even if Queensland has some serious flooding going on that the moment, that doesn't mean the whole country is flooding. For example, I believe Western Australia has some bushfires going at the moment,

I thought he lived in SA, which isn't flooded, unless he moved to Brisbane.

For those of you not in the know, Australia is actually quite large, and only the north eastern area is affected by these floods at the moment. It's not like the whole country is sinking into the ocean or anything.

...or is it?

EDIT:: Ninja'd somewhat. Oh, and yes, some of West Australia is on fire as well. Don't worry, normally it's quite safe to live here!

Yahtzee lives in Brisbane. So yeah he's flooded but not as bad as some.

Apparently one of the projected dangers of the flood waters rising is more insects, crocodiles and deadly tropical snakes entering people's homes. Imagine that for a moment, especially with the type of insects we get here.

The overall flooded area is pretty big - significantly larger than Texas, apparently. Still it's only a small fraction of the country. In the part of the country where I live the weather's actually really nice for a change.

What? The entirety of Australia is underwater now? I wouldn't worry, since they're "down under" in the southern hemisphere I expect all of the water will just fall off the planet soon.

Just kidding of course. My heart goes out to the people affected. There're a lot of floods around here in Belgium as well recently, so we know how they feel.
