I was sitting here thinking and then my brother came in to check if I was playing on my computer or not. It seems my family is all addicted to computer and/or games. We will take 'shifts' playing and there is even 3 computers in my house with internet access. That kicked off another thought and a question for you all.

Is your family as horrible addicted to computer games, any games, technology or are you the only one that knows the internet exists? There is at least 1 person in my house on a computer at all times. Some rare occasions we might all be sleeping but that's like 6am to 10am at most...

I wish my family was like that... at least then when I talk about WoW they would know what I'm saying.

No, thank god. My sister sometimes plays my games, but she gets distracted by her boyfriend. I tried to get my dad into gaming, but he has no attention span.

Side note: Why is the first thing parents ask about certain games is "Why are you playing as a girl?" Case in point: I was playing Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (As Ayame) and my dad was watching and he asks this exact question. Did you not just see me cut a guy's head off? You saw that and you care about me playing as a chick?

Makes no sense to me.

Wow... I'm the only one so far? LoL Even my mom plays the Sims and my sister plays random games. My two brothers and I play every style of game between us. Older is usually the FPS, younger plays RPG and I will play anything I think is worth my time.

I wish, then I could have something to talk about without feeling like they're just humouring me.

I'm the only one that plays video games in my family. My dad used to play a variation of Ski Free way back when, but his blood pressure sky rocketed after he continually tried to be his previous high score, so he stopped playin for the most part. After the NES came and went, he stopped playing entirely, mainly because I was way better than him at video games when I was 6 years old and he was tired of getting his ass kicked.

only my little sister is into gaming half as much as I am. She plays WoW, half life, and a fair few Steam games... I'm slowly introducing her to console gaming as well.

the only other person I know about in my family who likes games is my dad but he only really likes Call of Duty.

My brother is addicted to his DS/ MY XBOX. Mom addicted to her cell phone/computer. I think that they would rather have those items than having me alive.

btw Lilith = hot, and Hellfire SMG FTW

I'm the only real gamer in my family.

My dad shall for ever be crap at games.

My mum is too much into her own hobbies.

My brother only likes a few games.

My sister only likes LBP.

My uncle is ignorant and only likes mainstream or COD.

My mum is addicted to Facebook, but she has her own laptop. My sister has a netbook and mainly uses that. My brother and I have our own computers that have been custom built for gaming. There's also a family computer that only gets used for work by my mother and sister. Me and I brother are the only major gamers in the family though, me more so than him.

I guess my family had to of started because my step-dad was a computer application developer. He introduced all of use to gaming at a young age and as time went on my mom kind of gave in that we were gamers. Then she found out that she liked playing some of them too. She used to laugh because I play WoW all the time and now it's payback because she's always playing Farmtown(?) on Facebook. I just refer to it as 'farming.' =P LoL

at my mums place, my mum doesnt play any games and has barely mastered the internet. step-dad is usually working fixing broken electronic stuff to play and me and my step-brother are basically trogladites who pretty much live in the workshop at the end of the garden only emerging for food or to have a smoke.

At uni however. 10 guys, all with pcs and lanned up. counter-strike is suddenly very fun when your shouting the instructions to your team-mate down the corridor with your door wedged open rather than down a mike.

My sister is pretty big into things like Facebook, but she's not a game player. My mom is addicted to Peggle, but I'm not sure that counts, awesome as that time-waster is. My dad, on the other hand, got lost playing Mario Kart. Yes, lost. He was running against the wall asking where to go.

*facepalm*

Myself, my brother and my dad love playing videogames and will often play them either together or watch each other play, whereas my mum, while she doesn't play games, is cool with me and my bro playing videogames (and often buys them as birthday and christmas presents) as long as they don't distract us from our studies. I have a really cool family now that I think about it :D

My Dad just got addicted to Fallout 3, he plays it until the early hours of the morning. The next day he tells me about everything he found. It's quite funny really.

Support that all the way and you're sure to get all the new games. I would ride that like a cashcow of video games. LoL You just need to point him in the right direction (the games you want him to buy). =P
