This has to be one of the most craziest things I have ever heard, the mind boggles. Anyone know of any other towns cities that made weird laws like this.

This things so stupid it will blow over. Too many ordinary Italians will want to eat kebabs, the twits whom think they are "protecting" Italian cuisine will get confused as to what counts as foreign food- do we ban Irish pubs and French restaurants? And probably somewhere along the line a lawyer will notice that they're breaching some sort of EU regulation and the whole matter will be dropped.

Long story short, I know a legal clerk for the town I live in. I asked her why do we have retarded fucking laws like that. Her answer:

In terms of old laws that you mentioned it is usually more cheaper to ignore the law all together than to amend the ACT that put it into place.

OT: I don't understand the logic behind "eating Italian". It isn't like their traditions are dying out, Italians live all across the globe, and have brought their cuisine with them to every country, and those countries embraces those food because they taste fucking delicious. I love how ethnic eateries willingness to work long hours is "unfair competition". Oh you Italians, I love you guys for your strong embrace of pranza, but you can't fault others who see it as excessive or inconvenient.

I had Turkish food in Sicily once, it was quite good and a much needed change of pace. I do hope this means the McDonald's in the Galleria gets shut down or blown up or something.

Not really, just sucks to live in Italy...besides Italy has is a small country, drive to Switzerland...or better yet swim to the Middle East and get them from the motherland...of kebabs. I<ve done worse things for food (I drove to New Jersey from Montreal to get a sandwitch)
