Yup, it's my 30th birthday today, and I'm planning to celebrate with

(one candle for each decade) and a (very rare for me) alcoholic cider.

Also, I'm going to be playing more Don't Starve which my friend gave me on Friday. (Let's see if I can survive past day 7...)

This might seem like a lousy way to celebrate the big three-oh, but I prefer it. Never been much for parties or crowds of people; hosting get-togethers causes me mostly only stress and anxiety.

So for discussion value: How would/did you celebrate your 20/30/40/etc birthday?

PS. The cake was DELICIOUS.

Happy 30th birthday! May you have an awesome birthday filled with cake and stuff.

As for my 20th birthday, well we didn't celebrate it at all. There was a reason why that I'd rather not get into but my 21'st birthday in January was eventful. The day started at class and then my day ended with me being dragged out of the bar by my parents. I didn't throw up till we got outside of the bar too, shouldn't have done that last shot of tequila.

First off, happy birthday ^_^.

Honestly I'm not sure how I'm going to celebrate my decade-birthdays. Maybe I'll spend it in University or in the army, maybe in an apartment surrounded by friends or family. However I spend it, I will be glad to have made it this far.

Happy Birthday! The cake looks yummy :)

I have put off my last two birthdays from being so ill. So I'm probably going to go on holiday when I get better.

21 is a bigger deal then 20 in the States isn't it? So sounds like a pretty good party to me! =D

21 is the age where we can legally purchase and consume alcohol. It was the first time I ever got so drunk where I couldn't understand what was going on around me. Luckily I woke up at 6am the next morning with no hangover, so I guess everything worked out in the end :p

I thought so. 18 is the legal age here - meaning you can buy at pubs, clubs, and the lighter stuff shops are allowed to sell - but you can't buy alcohol at the state-owned off-license until you're 20 and so people here tend to make a thing about going in and getting something on their birthday. I didn't go in until I was 22 and then it was to buy something for someone else, lol.

I've never gotten that drunk myself, but I HAVE avoided hangovers so YAY! Although I tend to get headaches WHILE I'm drinking instead of after. One of the many reasons I don't drink any more. This cider really was an aberration, haha =)

I have been drunk around 20 times since I turned 21 and have somehow avoided a hangover everytime. Only strange thing is that I wake up at 6am the next morning every time no matter when I went to sleep. I still don't know why but it's kind of funny to be honest.

Happy birthday!

I don't remember what happened on my 20th other than it being dull like my other birthday but I made a difference with my last birthday (26th) since my parent were away.

I decided to visit the local attraction in this town since I haven't been there as a kid. The attraction was visiting the summint point of the town (part of the town is a mountain) and also visiting the underground mine near it.

Anyway at the top of the summint they had a studio to take photo of self portaits in victorian or western style. Since I always wanted to dress up as a gentlemen (well one of the things I want to do) and I wasn't going back there for a while so I figure why not?

So I may aswell share the photo to you for your birthday (I bring the gift of humor)-

It would of been perfect if I had a taller tophat but none the less I am please with the result! Also the undermine was awesome to visit.

30?

Might as well end it now then, you're too old to do anything.

I'm planning on stopping at 26. No more birthdays for me after that, birthdays are cancelled :D

I celebrated my 21st birthday by drinking alone in the dark and listening to Dir en Grey. It was actually more pleasant than it sounds.

For my more recent 25th I had sex with a woman who turned out to be mental and wouldn't leave me alone. But then I had cake and champagne with my flatmate, so that was nice.

Anyway, many happy returns on your 30th; I hope you get to meet or ride an elephant, because that's what I've always wanted to do.

Happy 30th Nameday! May you be as a fine wine, only improving with age!

OT: I don't have much to say vis-a-vis my 18th (latest) birthday, because I spent part of it at school, and the rest playing video and board games. The cake was fantastic, in case you're wondering.

Happy birthday! As long as yo have a good day, that's what matters. For my 25th I had a world domination themed party with 3 tables of risk (variants of the games setup) and we had a blast. Dress as your favorite villain and try conquer the world!
