I've got an interview with an Apple store?any advice?

I sent off a CV a few months ago and got an email recently asking me to do a recruitment seminar next week. I've looked at some threads online and alot of them say that you have to be 18 to work there. Im only 17 but I live in the UK so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Thats my first dilemma, my second is if anyone has had any experience in the recruiting process of Apple and wondering what I will likely do and what is expected from me. Im pretty fluent in Mac OS and general Apple hardware/software consumer and professional so Im not too worried about that. But my main concern is age. Would they offer me a place on the recruiting list if they know Im under 18?

If you've got an interview, just go to it. At worst they find out your age and don't offer you the job, but if not they'll either not ask or not care. If you land the job and are decent at it I think it's very unlikely they'll sack you, given that it means they'd have to go through the whole recruitment process again.

Only thing that I could see possibly being a problem is that the minimum wage bracket is different between 17/18.

I would say be honest and don't try to hide your age or lack of experience. But, as all the "experts" advise, don't focuse on what you can't do. Focus on what you can. That isn't to say lie, but downplay what you can't do and talk up what you can.

I mean, let's face it, if you're honest and they give you the job, it's a good fit. You don't have to live in fear of them finding out the truth. But if you lie, big time, and they find out, they could fire you. While you may stretch the truth some, honesty is the best policy really.

Really, just act calm, and give them reasons that you can do the job. If you know the Mac OS and other related things, you should do fine.

OT: Be calm, show you have knowledge of the product, sales experience, and a friendly demeanour.
