So the Jovian Wars kickstarter managed to get fully funded in just 2 days. For those unaware, Jovian Wars is a tactical space table top game (similar to Star Wars Armada) where fleets of miniatures fight it out in the Jovian Chronicles setting (an RPG that I quite enjoy that's best described as The Expanse with Jupiter taking Mars' place and with an anime aesthetic).

With all the overtime I've put in I'm really on the fence about getting these since I can sure as hell afford to get even the highest backer tier, and I know these type of games are enjoyable for me (I've dropped somewhere around 600 Canuk bucks on Star Wars Armada after all), but for the quality in question, well I'll be frank I have no idea if it's a good deal or not given my ignorance on resin cast price and quality.

"Fully funded"? They asked for less than 7K (in USD) and now have a bit over 10K (in USD). That's... Well, it's not a lot. 108 backers. Set your sights low enough and ye shall not be disappointed...

Well when you don't need much why ask for more then you need?

There's no way that's going to cover the time investment they've already made in their product. 'Course, that's water under the bridge, so they don't have to ask it back. No, I'm not criticizing them for asking for little. I'm criticizing you for, in effect, characterizing a few drops of water as "overflowing the reservoir" and talking up how quickly it happened. "Fully funded in 2 days" makes it sound a lot more popular than ~100 people and ~10K bucks... Worse, it makes it sound like it's TRYING to sound that way.

Well how else would you describe a modest kickstarter getting its funding in 2 days?
