I have played a couple of these, but never gave them much of a chance as i was quite ignorant as a young man, so i'm asking the people kind enough to forgive my foolishness to recommend me some good JRPG's to play.
Thank you very much

Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Valkyrie Chronicles.

(I'm sure I spelt some wrong).

Actually, the spelling looks OK to me.

Tales of Symphonia, Chrono Trigger (and Cross, if you're OK with the rediculousness of it), the Megaman Battle Network series for a little something unorthodox, and if you have to try a Final Fantasy game I'd say go with IV or X. VII is overrated *runs and hides*

For the DS The World Ends With You (TWEWY), i liked it and am recommending it to you :p

Hmmm... i guess there hasn't been that many great JRPGs out recently, i would ahve to surgest going back to final fantasy 7,9 and 10

My favourite 3 :)

Hey! Cross>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Trigger

As for good ones, Tales of Vesperia is pretty different. Your character is a pretty cool guy (instead of a dumbass), and the little kid isn't annoying, as he actually managed to become by favorite character.

Legend of Mana is great, falling into only one cliche of the RPG genre, a silent hero.
The writing is witty, the art beautiful, the music fantastic, and the world is your to create, bit by bit. You decide where to place each new location on the map. The further from your home, the tougher the enemies.

To each there own. I LOVE Cross, but Trigger just holds a special place in my heart that Cross can't reach.

FFX was brilliant in my opinion.
This.

Plus some of the other Final Fantasies, though, in my opinion, FFX2 was the worst game I have ever played.

Skys of Arcadia is pretty good as well (I know what I've said is pretty much the same as everyone else, but these are the ones I would choose to recommend)

Might be nostalgia. Trigger was good, but I played Cross first, and Trigger felt like a cookie cutter RPG, but it must be the game that shaped the cookie cutter. It was the terrible PS1 port, though.

Chrono Trigger. Best JRPG I have played so far. I am playing Final Fantasy 9 at the moment and I generally prefer it to Final Fantasy 7, from what I have played so far (I just got to the 3rd disk). If you want a truly epic, epic rpg, you have to play Final Fantasy 6. It really does not get more epic than that.

Chrono Trigger, FFVI, FFIX and the Golden Sun series for the GBA are the best I've played.

The various games in the Shin Megami Tensei line, the Tales Series, Disgaea 1-3... there are lots of good ones out there, to be honest. D:

Final Fantasy, especially IV and VI.
The Tales series.
I've heard Golden Sun is good too.

Disgaea 1 and 2 is really cool (although it's a strategy RPG)

I also liked Odin Sphere and Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2.

Final Fantasy X was Really great as well but stay far away from FFX2

Hope you like them as much as I did.

I would recommend almost any of the Final Fantasy games, but specifically 7,9, and 10. Both Chrono games are good and then Legend of Dragoon was an awesome game.
