I can tell you why the title is written as: Heavy Rain

It's because David Cage names every one of his games with the title/subtitle mantra.[footnote]I know what some of you are going to say: "But what about Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy?!" Same applies. They just split the title up and used the real name for Europe and the subtitle for North America.[/footnote]

It's his thing. So this means that Heavy Rain's actual title is Heavy, with Rain being the subtitle.

Yes, that's right people.....David Cage made a game about a murder "mystery", filled with lots of character "drama", and called it Heavy.
