So I've been wanting to workout seriously for a while now but every time i try i just end up stopping. I always find an excuse of not to do it. And its not like I'm fat or over weight in any way but i want to get into shape before I'm done with high school. So my fellow escapists can I get some words of encouragement, or some wise words to help me stay on course that would be much appeciated.

You can do it! And then you will outlive your enemies in a healthful way! And that shall be the sweetest victory of them all!

If, in fact, you don't have enemies, your quality of life will still improve near the end.

If things are boring, try books on tape. Good books, mind. Bad ones will just deter you more.

You just need some inspiration. Working out for the sake of getting in shape is really fucking boring. Set yourself some achievable goals that have real world applications. Find someone to train with you. Learn some martial arts, or maybe do some tricking or parkour. I guess what I'm saying is pretend you're a ninja. That's how I do it.

You have to work out in a way that's fun for you. I don't know many people that like going to the gym, but you can get exercise by playing sports, practicing martial arts (Like poster above said), walking around an amusement park, shopping...

Pretty much just get moving, in your case, the activity doesn't matter.

It is easy once you get into the routine, the first few weeks are the hardest as you will not see any reults, however taking things such as protein suplements will help things go faster in the first few weeks an this helps to keep you motivated. Good luck.

Everytime you exercise, you improve with more weights, longer reps, and ultimately changing your body. It's a long process but understand little by little you're going to notice subtle improvements visually. Areas on your arm start to bulge out and definition starts coming in. You can now do 30 pushups for one rep versus when you could only do 25. It starts to add up and you should notice this and appreciate every step that you make.

And don't go stagnate with your routines. Look up different exercises and try them out. There's TONS of pushups that you can do. And stop think about when you'll be rip. Just notice that you look better than you were 3 weeks ago.
