Ever find yourself thinking late at night? Of course you do, but I mean really thinking, playing scenarios back and forth in your head? Of course you do, everyone does. Let's narrow it down some more, ever find those scenarios involving someone from your past? Ever find yourself wondering what if? Even if you're happy with everything you have. Do you ever find yourself thinking "If things had gone differently, what would life be?" Sure you do, so tell me, who are they?

Sometimes I still wonder where the people I met during my early years are now; I don't keep in contact with them any more. I wonder what became of the people I didn't get along with, or where I'd be now if I took my studies more seriously. These are just momentary musings, though, as opposed to deep concerns or constant niggles that I used to have too many of. It's rare that a specific moment of memory comes to mind, though.

I remember all those times I froze when talking to girls. This usually results in my parents hearing thumps and moans from my room as I thrash around in agony.

I do that all the time well sometime including trivial ones like "what if I went to KFC instead of Gregg?" or "what if I meet up with my mate next week instead of this week?"

Heck my current one is "What if I watched the Avengers 2 this week instead of waiting next week to see my mate?".

Well ok for serious ones, one of them was what if I took that summer job once I finish high school (this was before the recession)? I pretty much blow if off in favour of having a fun summer but it pretty much bite me in the ass when the recession hit. Sure having only one job on my cv back then may not changed alot but I would like to think it could of helped.

Also there are plenty of time thinking what if I had went to that interview or was more sucessful at getting that job.

I'm fairly positive that this is why I stay up all night and make a point of filling my time with whatever entertainment I have available.

Introspection is the enemy.

I tend to lie awake when I get on that line of thought, the "what ifs," and that seems to, inevitably, lead into pondering about mortality and remembering that I'm on the slow, laborious, inexorable march toward bodily obsolescence and the void.

So. Yeah.

Oh, look, a cat picture-

My sleeping pattern is constantly in a state of mess because if I'm bored for even a moment (While struggling to fall asleep, for instance) I'm haunted by these 'little somethings', playing out hundreds of different scenarios about how my last relationship could've played out differently. Puts me into a really depressive state, lugging up years worth of memories and twisting them and whatever. Very unhealthy. So if I don't fall asleep instantly, I get back up and do stuff until I collapse.
