What the title says. I had been eyeing one all summer (with the promises of an upcoming Twisted Metal game), so on Black Friday, I picked one up. Now, I know this thread has been made dozens of times, but I wanted one catered specifically to my gaming desires.

So, I ask you all, what are the games I should pick up. The bundle came with the Ratchet & Clank series (never played, but they look fun), and LittleBig Planet 2 (also never played). I already bought the first Infamous, Heavy Rain, and the first three Assassin's Creed games on PS3 for a combined total of $20 (never really gave them a fair chance, so I figured I'd use them to start my PS3 library). A friend of mine is going to let me borrow the first two Uncharted Games as well, so I don't need to buy those.

I already plan on picking up Modnation Racers and the God of War series as well.

So any suggestions are welcomed. They don't have to be console exclusives, but that would certainly be nice. Preferably, no FPS games, as they belong to my 360 and none of the exclusive PS3 FPS games have really peeked my interest in the past (though I will still take suggestions), or JRPGs, simply because I don't care for them (except the Tales series). A big selling point for me is survival horror, so anything in that genre would be very appreciated.

So please help me!

The God or War Series
3D Dot Game Heroes(It may be a zelda clone without shame but since it under $20 everywhere, it is a solid experience)
MAG(Since you like the fps genre)
Crysis 2(Another great fps)
Siren Blood Curse(A PS3 exclusive survival horror)

God of War 3 and Metal Gear 4. All together, they are $40 CAN, but I'm pretty sure they're way cheaper in the US.

Ratchet & Clank is good. And you picked up inFamous and the AC series, those are good choices too. Um? yeah, I'll agree with the previous posters, if you're okay with incredibly over-the-top violence and gore, the God of War series is pretty fun. Oh, and in a few months, the HD collection of Jak & Daxter is coming out, so that will also be a good purchase. Hmm? any other games I could recommend are multi-platform like Batman: Arkham Asylum or the BioShock series, or weird ones that you might not like like the Lego games, which are fun if formulaic.

Really, you've got some good choices to start already.

They remade No More Heroes for PS3 in HD. So assuming you didn't already get it for the Wii, I would highly suggest that. Suda 51 is brilliant in my opinion.

As far as exclusives go I can't really thing of much more than what you already have, and you already said you're not much for the shooters so...

Catherine? Castlevania? That's all I got.

Kinda off topic, but you mentioned Assassin's Creed but I personally never understood all the excitement for the Assassin's Creed games. The first one was so repetitive that I got sick of it and never finished it. 2 was better, and I actually finished that one, still wasn't really impressed. Currently playing Brotherhood to see if it gets better. Not really my thing honestly. I just thought they were "ok".

I do remember when MAG came out, I thought the idea of so many people sounded like tons of fun. Is the community still alive at all? Would finding a game be all that difficult? And I played Crysis 2 on 360. Didn't really do much for me.

And thanks for Siren! I couldn't remember the name of the game, just that it existed.

Demon's Souls [sub](a JRPG, but not the kind you're thinking of)[/sub]
Dark Souls [sub](see above)[/sub]
Valkyria Chronicles [sub](JRPG, but done as a real time/ turn based strategy - and still one of the best games on PS3)[/sub]
I do intend on picking up Demon/Dark Souls. From what I've read about it from people on this site, it sounds fun (if not masochistic).

As for Valkyria Chronicles, I'm sure its a great game, but I've never been able to do RTS games. I know its a third person shooter as well, but RTS elements and I don't get along. If anything, a friend of mine owns it. I may borrow it, but I doubt its a game I'd get all that into. I will give it a fair chance though, and hopefully be surprised.

Apparently the community is still there. I can't really give a clear answer to how many though. I know the game uses a queue system for games and when I tried it, I waited a lot.

I play it all the time on PC, but I really am not a big PC gaming fan. Do you know if there is a way to play with people on PC from PS3? I researched it awhile ago, but never found a definite answer. I would love to be able to transition.

If you didn't play them on PS2, the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection is a must. Ico is meh (yeah, I went there), but SotC is well worth the price of the collection. The God of War trilogy is awesome. Infamous 2 is much better than the first one, but wait until finishing 1 before buying it.

If you haven't played Red Dead Redemption, get it. It's one of the best games ever made.
And Skyrim. But I guess you already knew that.

I honestly don't believe so, the serve that you log into is called "PS3US" so I don't believe that you can hop onto a new serve, but I just discovered where the experience bar is so I am functionally retarded.

You're off to a great start. Pick up The God Of War Collection, God of War 3, and the Origins collection for some brutal, visceral fun. Ratchet and Clank are tons of fun in their variations, so enjoy with those. Infamous, Infamous 2, and Infamous: Festival of Blood (on PSN) are all astounding. Demon's Souls/Dark Souls are both a hoot, if you enjoy learning from your many, many deaths. After that, I'd say round yourself off with the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection, and Siren Blood Curse, if you like mediocre survival horror. Maybe treat yourself, and get Saints Row 2 off PSN, then immerse yourself in Saints Row the Third. Library established, Trophy Get.

Having never played either, I will be looking into that collection pack. As for RDR and Skyrim, neither are my thing. They're both too open. Games with huge game worlds like those just overwhelm me. I tried both, and RDR just made me long for Red Dead Revolver. Skyrim I can play with somebody else to keep me grounded in the game, but if I do play it, its on 360, as I use my brother's copy of the game.

I did just look it up and found a post on their website. Apparently, they're keeping the servers separate. I'll probably still download it though. Its free, so why not.
