So basically I just had my last GCSE exam today and I will get the results sometime in August. Meanwhile I can enjoy the summer :D

How did you feel when you did exams like these? All my teachers say that they're important but I think that A levels are more important (If you're American, I'm sorry if you don't understand any of this)

GCSE's are basically exams you take at the end of year 11 (Ages 15-16) and cover pretty much all the topics that you do up until that point. I'm pretty nervous about getting my results but I feel that I did quite well.

How did you guys feel about recent examinations? I feel like some positive reassurance could be something I might need.

In the UK any and every exam is bigged up as being the most important of your life but they're not! Not even final year uni exams (which I finished a few months ago) are. So don't fret about results, enjoy the summer as well as the rest of the WC!

On a side note what A-levels you picked?

My exams have gone pretty well, I think. My last A2 exam is on Wednesday.

Music Technology
History
Business Studies
and *Sigh* Media Studies

I picked media studies because it seemed relevant to what I want to do as a career. Which is music so making a music video seemed quite cool. Qualifications don't bother me so much as long as you can meet the right people.

I finished on Friday. They weren't as horrifyingly hard as some people said they would be, but they did stress me a bit... Glad to be free now...

All of my exams went well, except for Social Studies. Turns out the teacher didn't teach us about 50% of the content we needed, so I'm pretty certain the majority of our class did poorly.

A Levels are far more fun than crummy old GCSEs, which consist of a few enjoyable subjects and a shitload of brain-meltingly dull ones.

I just finished my AS levels (Year 12 for those interested, not the main super-duper even more important ones in Year 13) and so I'm patiently awaiting results so I can apply to a university.

I did the same except English Lit instead of Music tech. Media Studies is a crock of shit though, total doss and drop subject. Luckily mine was a double on Friday with RE (Catholic school) after so I got a three day weekend for a year. So in hindsight was a good choice.

Oh and meeting the right people is defo QFT which is why you should start trying to get into music internships/summer ***** jobs asap.

I find your comment about Media Studies...disturbing.

You should see the new workload. The Year 10 course (mine), is a whore-load of coursework. We then, have a 2 and a half hour exam, and we have no revision material. Nothing. All I know from that subject is Todorov's narrative theory and Propp's character theory. I guess that is all just down to my awful subject teachers though.

Heh, you think that's bad?

Of our 1hr, 30min AS economics paper, I spent the last 40 mins sleeping.

I did the same thing with many of my GCSEs.

It either means you've done really well or really badly. How confident are you?

Pfft! GCSE!

Ha!

I laugh at your mere 'answering of questions'

God I miss GCSE, I can't believe that I found them worrying at the time. AS is a real fretter, and A2 looks worse

...having said that, I don't do Maths anymore...

WOO!

Just wondering, did anybody actually try when they did GCSEs?
Nobody I know did and we all got good grades.
No i thought they were fairly pointless and did no work for them, but still ended up with good grades.

AS's i tried hard for though.

Realy well though 2 question I had never done before so I made a logicle decision. The test was 30mins' long and some people said it was hard... I try'd not to laugh, Failed misrebly, got slapped, smelt of perfume for the rest of the day.
