Twenty two, poor, male and because Yahtzee is a cheeky bastard... er... I mean the writers find a way to make even mundane articles seem somewhat interesting, and the editorials are interesting and respectable because they don't always conform to what necessarily the most popular thing at the time.

I am still pretty mad though that Yahtzee ripped off my gaming tastes (i.e. hating CoD and Halo, and thinking a single player campaign should carry a game on its own) and claim to Silent Hill 2 being a godly game. [/jk]

FIRST: Welcome to The Escapist. ^_^

Age: 19

Social/Economic group: I'm assuming you mean, like... Class? Then upper-middle class, I guess. Well, my parents are. I'm probably more middle/lower-middle class.
Currently in Uni in Australia, doing my Bachelor of Computer Science. Don't have a job (living off a first-year scholarship, which I was very lucky to get), but will be getting one at the end of this year.
(If you mean something else, then I'll edit this post.)

Gender: Male.

Main reason I read The Escapist: Actually, for the most part, I've been a member so long for the community and threads made by other members, as well as The Escapist's content (namely Zero Punctuation, but a few other shows/comics too). However, every so often an article will come along that'll tickle my interest, and I'll have a compulsion to read it.
Every article I've read I've either agreed with, or at least understood the points that the staff at The Escapist are trying to make. So, in short, even if sometimes our opinions differ (luckily only sometimes :p ), the staff thinks very much like how I think.

Hope that helps. :)

Seems a little bit more mature then the last forum based site I was in, though I found out about escapist through zero punctuation.

I read the Escapist because I love games and especially the thinking and design behind games. The Escapists offer me interesting and informative articles on a wide range of gaming-related topics, as well as well-run forums, clever videos and a good community.

Wow, so everyone from your course is just hopping on the Escapist to ask the same questions?

I'm 15, I guess I'm somewhere around middle-class, although I personally am an unemployed student who's still dependant on her parents, I'm female, and I mainly read the Escapist for the weekly articles and the videos. The articles usually offer a slightly different perspective to the ones I get from the other gaming magazines I read, and unlike said magazines, they're free. So yeah. That's always a bonus.

19.
Middle Class if you don't take 'student' as a class of its own.
Male.
I read some of it because I consider myself a gamer and can associate with most of its articles and featured shows, I also very much enjoy the forums as its a chance to chat to considerably intelligent people in a well moderated forum.

lol sorry XD but i see no demands in his post :D
I'm going to assume you're refering to my post, and true, he is making a request rather than a demand. I was just having a laugh because most people at least comment in other threads and hang around a bit before using us to gather statistics, unlike Mr OP who seems to have only made his account so he can gather information and probably doesn't have the least interest in our community.

But i'll edit my post, just for you.

- I initially came to the Escapist when a colleague sent me a link to a review by Yahtzee. Afterward, I browsed the articles, created an account, and pretty much started checking the content every day.
