what the fuck can i do to keep flying insects out?

I recently moved to an apartment 4 stories up and I thought that the little fuckers wouldn't fly that high

well apparently they swoop in from this big tree like 5 meters from my balcony and it annoys the shit out of me

i had a fucking BAT come in last night and just now i had to duke it out with a fucking wasp for 15 minutes straight (it's the middle of the night, what the fuck?)

i'm really pissed of, and because it's so hot I have to keep my window/door open and the only light emitting is that of my tv

what can i do? I read something about chalk but i figure that's for the crawling kind, not for mosquito's and shit

thanks

I'm guessing your landlord wouldn't let you drill those small mesh net things into your wall. Maybe tack them on, or even tape if you're desperate.

Or, you know, buy a fan so you can keep your windows closed...

Buy a screen or buy some mesh and tack/nail/tape it up. Take the hit on your security deposit so you can sleep comfortably at night.

Honestly, here in the Canadian Prairies, all windows have screens on them, and it's just plain bizarre when anyone goes somewhere without screens over the windows as giant-ass bugs find their way in and you have to then deal with them. ... No thanks, I'll take a slightly hindered view.

Behold! A window screen!

I thought everywhere had these to be honest.

Yep, I'm in Florida, nothing but giant flying bugs here. We even have these suckers.

You need a window screen, I thought they were just kind of default in all places everywhere...
Also try to keep your doors shut, don't leave them open, or as others have pointed out, you can buy a fan to take care of the heat.

I do have a fan, pretty big one as well, but with the windows and door closed it just circulates the heat of the room instead of fresh air

and I was kinda hoping no one would bring up the window screen because I'm pretty low on money >_>

if i do get one i'd probably have to tack it on instead of drilling holes and shit, but that'd be a ***** to take off every time i step onto the balcony

i'll look into the cost of screen doors and such, for now here's hoping someone comes with a cheap diy solution (y)

What about The Magic Mesh [https://www.magicmesh.ca/?tag=im|sm|bi|gn&a_aid=011&a_bid=76367096] kind of thing? Pretty cheap and works nicely. I kinda want one for my front door, as the front of my house has no windows and it kills airflow.

Yeah, i had terrible mosqito problems a while ago, but since i got nets in the window and over my ventilation it almost completely stopped
My net is stuck onto adhesive velcro stips

That magnet door net seems nice, my grandma just hangs a solid piece in front of the door and it is difficult to get past
