I was just reading through my old Authority: Kev books and was wondering was it only popular amongst Brits given the references and slang and what not or was it loved all over.

The Authority are a super hero team in the Wildstorm universe who prefer to kill Kim Jong Il than arrest the Green Goblin and kev is an SAS assassin who gets caught up in the whole superpower world.
