Recently we've been hearing a lot about kickstarter as some very major names have begun to take advantage to create some pet projects. After the double fine project I became very interested in the site, and have helped to fund a few cool looking projects. I feel like a few very deserving projects have been overlooked. It also seems like there's a lot of dross on there, that doesn't deserve our time. So Here's a list of projects I've supported, and would like to see reach their goal.

Nekro [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343838885/nekro]

Spriter [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/539087245/spriter?ref=category]

HTS [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/355932838/crowdsourced-hardcore-tactical-shooter]

What are some of yours?

Class of Heroes 2 funding.

The first game was a good one. Plus if it goes through, itr might convince Capcom to localize AAI2.

Cult, once it goes on Kickstarter. If it accomplishes 10% of its design goals, it will be awe-inspiring. The design philosophy is basically procedurally generated everything.

That Spriters program looks really interesting.

It really does. I've tried to make a few games on Game Maker but I suck at sprite design, something like this could really help.

And on another note, I'm really diggin' Kickstarter. Nice to see designers being able to bypass the publishers, and maybe publishers will take notice and be willing to take a few more risks. And maybe I will sprout a rainbow powered jetpack from out of my ass, but it's still nice to hope.

Apart from that Spriter program, I'm interested in Wasteland 2. Never played the previous game, but from what I heard about it, really interesting stuff.

Wow that looked and sounded awesome. Especially the part about generating entirely new races each time though I do wonder how that will happen. Still thanks for that I will certainly donate to that when it comes out.

The ones I've supported (four so far) have mostly been the bigger names ones.

Because I trust the team behind it:
- Double Fine Adventure [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/66710809/double-fine-adventure]
- Wasteland 2 [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/wasteland-2]

Because the art style looks incredible and vikings are cool:
- The Banner Saga [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stoic/the-banner-saga]

Because the world sounds really interesting:
- Shadowrun Returns [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/shadowrun-returns]

I was going to support Takedown [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/355932838/crowdsourced-hardcore-tactical-shooter?ref=live], but it looked like it had no hope of getting funded. I don't know why that stopped me, because it's not like I was going to lose any money if it wasn't. I'm glad it was funded though... I loved the old Rainbow Six games and it sounds like it will be aiming for similar feel.

Well I got one not on kickstarter but rather doing it's own "buy alpha, get full game" like Minecraft did.

It's a game from http://fractalsoftworks.com/ called Starfarer, a top down space combat sim, you explore the universe, manage your fleet, build up your crew and ships, take a crack at other fleets, destroy/capture/salvage ships, semi RTS style combat while retaining full control of one ship.
And I mean full control, navigation control, engines, power, directional shields, directional hull, several weapon platforms, target leading, overloads,... it has the works, my inner space nerd gets all giddy just thinking about it.
