Please, when is RARE or Capcom going to make Killer Instinct 3? We need a true fighting game with sick combos, great music and gory blood! So far the best fight game out there and still is Marvel vs. Capcom 2. And I know they are going to fuck up with Marvel vs. Capcom 3. They already messed up with Street Fighter 4, and it's bullcrap. Keep in mind that Killer Instinct is the only fighting game in which you can truly stop a combo from a opponent. The game has everything, human and animal characters, weapons and projectiles, finishing moves and fatalities!

Rare owns the killer instinct label so odds of capcom making KI3 are nill. also stop being such a fucking old school gamer, SF4 is basically SF2 in hd graphics and new characters and M vs.C3 just has new characters and new graphics from the second one. why the fuck would they stray away from a formula that has made them millions unless they were fucking retarded

Rare have hinted at KI3 before just a year or two ago. Give it time. One must take market trends into consideration. It needs to be done just right at the appropriate time to make any sort of impact with the current demographic. A lot of them may be too young to remember Killer Instinct. Because of this, promotion and appearance must be tweaked in a way to show appeal to the younger gamers.
If you just copy and pasted KI1's style into current-gen graphics, you'd only be catering to the older gamers that actually remember it. It's going to take a little re-imagining of what Killer Instinct is to bring it up to a level that marketing can work with.
Also, remember... it's about making money. Whatever sells, is what they'll produce. It pains me that so many people that are into video games can't grasp the business side of it.
