Now, I'm just sitting here listening to BBC Radio 4 (yes, I have no life) and You and Yours consumer advice is currently on and what has just been on is quite alarming.
There are apparently a significant number of Xbox 360s in the UK that have been getting the Red Ring of Death after many years of use only after the Kinect peripheral has been attached, installed/updated and lightly used.
Considering Kinect was selling like hot cakes, I myself saw shortages in an HMV, over the Christmas period this is a serious issue and so far Microsoft hasn't offered any warranty for Kinect or extensions for existing Xbox 360 units.
Has this effected you? And what do you think of the lack of support for people with older Xbox's? Microsoft states that Kinect is designed and intended for use with every existing Xbox 360 out there.
Personally, I never intended to get it because of the very high costs (for the unit and games) but also the lack of space in my house but now I want it even less if it's going to kill my 360.
The issue has been reported in the Xbox 360 Classic, Xbox 360 Pro but I don't know about the Xbox 360 'Slim'.
