Okay, first things first. If you have the urges to ***** about how this game isn't KH3 and how they should release that instead, please supress them. This trailer is, to any hardcore KH fan, actually kinda orgasmic. We don't want you downers... well, getting the rest of us down.
Anyways, remember how I said the trailer's kinda orgasmic? I meant it. It contains images and scenes that will make you go HOLY CRAP, SHIT'S GETTING REAL. I'd elaborate on that, but I'll just let ya see for yourself. Behold, the Kingdom Hearts 3D February 2012 Trailer in all its glory!
Warning: Contains copious amounts of Utada/Sanctuary, Tron: Legacy, gameplay footage, callbacks to 358/2 Days and other awesomeness.
I can safely assume that I have never been this psyched for a video game in all of my existence. I literally did not stop squeeing like a 12-year-old fangirl throughout the entire damn thing. Don't forget to comment happy comments!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play through Days again. Xion! *squees*
Damn it I'm sorry, I couldn't do it. I mean I'm sure this is a pretty good game...for handhelds...instead on consoles...instead of thr-DAMN IT I DID IT AGAIN!

In all seriousness though, that post was just a joke (well ok I was half joking). I actually just got a 3DS last christmas and I'm just starting to get some DS games to catch up on. And right now, TWEWY is #1 on my list, especially with all the positive feedback I have heard from it.
And I will look into this one as well since i also enjoyed KH1 and 2.
Invest in screen protectors if you're gonna play TWEWY. Good game, but it simply shreds screen protectors. Would hate to see what happens to an unprotected touch screen.
I'm looking forward to KH:3D, but I'm trying to avoid the trailer. So for I've survive one day. I can't stay away from KH:3D discussions though, I'm going to get spoiled sooner or later x.x
It's 10 minutes long...It seems like it should be called something other than a trailer considering how epic it is. That's not me being negative on purpose by the way but damn. I'm not a die-hard KH fan but I really can't wait for this one! I feel a bit annoyed that I won't be able to switch to a Japanese language though since Pete's Japanese voice is freaking awesome (my opinion). While most people were holding out for Mario when they got their 3DS, I was waiting for this (and Kid Icarus)
I want an HD collection of all the KH games on one PS3 disc, then KH3.
What bothers me so much is that they can't decide what system they want KH to be on. Why does it have to be on seven different platforms? Seven.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep = Playstation Portable
Kingdom Hearts = PlayStation 2
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories = Gameboy Advance; Re:Chain of Memories is on PlayStation 2

PlayStation 2, Gameboy Advance, PlayStation Portable, Mobile Phone, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 3.
Dudes, seriously. Pick a platform. I don't, and I'm sure many others don't, want to go out and buy every game system in the world so we can play one game series.

I hereby propose a new Law of the Internet: From this day forth, nobody is allowed to complain about KH going multi-platform. It's getting zetta annoying.
Is this whole multi-platform theing really that bad, anyway? Lemme put it like this: If you have a DS, you can play two games in the series; Days and Re:Coded. If you still have your DS Phat/Lite, not only can you can play the original CoM, but the fact that you have the old model(s) instead of/in spite of the newer models means that you're a big fan of Nintendo; meaning that you probaly got a 3DS despite all the hooplah about it, which takes care of KH3D.
As for BBS on the PSP, if you've played this many games in this franchise, no doubt that means you're a full-fledged gamer, meaning you have gamer friends. Among these gamer friends, odds are there's at least one who's willing to lend you his old PSP while he rocks out with the almost-here PS-Vita. See? It all takes care of itself!
As for WHY the games went multi-platform, I got you covered there too. The reason Days was on the DS is because Nomura wanted to try something new, and the DS fit the bill for what he wanted. They wanted BBS to be more visually impressive than Days, so the DS had to go, but they wanted to save the uber-processing power of the PS3 for KH3, and they didn't want BBS to overshadow it, so the PSP it had to be. Re:Coded? Well, it was originally a mobile phone game, which would've looked silly on the PSP, so it was back to the DS.
As for Dream Drop Distance being on the 3DS? Well, Squeenix has this thing about making their games as asthetically pleasing as humanly possible, and with the 3DS being what it is...
Y'see? There's a reason for everything!
Oh, and one more thing before I get back to my Days marathon: I have this saying. "Everything sucks, but only as much as you want it to suck." This essentially means that yes, everything has its downsides, but its up to you how it affects your opinion on something.
For example, Yatzhee says that JRPG's suck, but that's only because he tends to focus on the things that make them different from other genres (Ridiculous outfits, unorthodox fighting mechanics, etc.). What he fails to realize, however, is that it's those kinds of things that fans of JRPG's like. Therefore, the reason that Yatzhee hates JRPG's is because he sees the genre's unique points as negative points. On the other side of the coin, most if not all JRPG fans will agree that their favourite game in the genre has its times where it plays the cliches a little strong, but otherwise those set-pieces are what make the genre what it is. "Everything sucks, but only as much as you want it to suck."
Think 'bout that for a while. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to Days.

Why selling different games of the same franchise on different consoles for each game is a BAD idea:
lets say you start playing Kingdom Hearts at KH1; that means that, odds are very likely you have a PS2. After playing KH1, you love it, and want to play further. Now lets fast forward to the GameBoy Advance / PSP / DS etc games of the franchise. Now if you had a PS2, odds are strong that you still have a ps2, (or that you likely upgraded to a PS3, the next step in the console's series). SO the franchise makers can garentee that you to some degree use the Playstation series of game consoles. But when they switch to, say, the DS or PSP, how many gamers not ONLY have a ps2, a psp, and DS, but also actually ENJOY using all these game consoles? SURE, you could hound all your friends to see if one of them has the console you need and get him to give you his console for an extended amount of time, BUT 1) I doubt many people enjoy having to hound all their friends to borrow a game console, let alone many friends wanting to just give their game console to a friend for extended time, 2) odds are if you don't own the console, chances are you aren't accustomed to or even enjoy using said game console (i actually own a psp, but hate gaming on it,), 3) Who is REALLY going to want to pay $50+ for a game to a console that they don't even own??? That's like buying a new car stereo system for a car you are RENTING; its not enjoyable or a sound investment.
And so when you are a KH fan, but have little/no access to most, if not all of these additional consoles (or just plain hate the function of said console), eventually you get to a point where I'm at, where you just say "Fuck this, I can't play the games in the series that I have tried to stay invested in, and am forced to miss out on all this storyline/background, and probably will continue to, so fuck this series, I don't care any more, I'm tired and done with it."
-But the franchise makers can still get sales from new demographics who enjoy these other consoles, RIGHT? odds are, no, because who actually is going to play a sequel to a game they never played? Very few people.
So in the end, the only PRO from having the franchise be multi-platform is: some verity in the console's controller scheme and console capabilities. The CONS: Alienating a majority of customers/franchise fans.
Signed, a former KH fan who wishes they could actually find out for themself what the fuck has happened in half of the franchise, which they will never get to play;

You act like I'm too stupid to figure this out by myself. You can drop all these games down to four systems. If you've got a 3DS you can play Dream Drop Distance, Re:coded and 358/2 Days. PSP lets you have Birth by Sleep. PS2 lets you nab hold of KH1, Re:Chain of Memories and KH2, while PS3 lets you nab KH3 whenever it comes out.
But you know what fact remains? Not everyone has access to all these systems whether on their own or through friends. Many people, much like tthor, can't play half the series because they can't afford to get a PS2, PSP, 3DS AND a PS3, nor have they access to any of these platforms. But hey, you know what else just might make a bit of money? A Kingdoms Hearts Collection, for those poor folk like us that can't afford every game system and their predecessor. You don't even have to remake all of them or give them an HD coating. Just take the Final Mix of each game, slap them on a single collection, and now all of your KH fans can enjoy every last one of your games because they don't have to bankrupt themselves just do play that new yearly release. Now, I understand that it's not quite that simple(what I did there, I just saw it), because they need to actually make those games compatible for play on a PS3 before they'll actually work, but you get the gist of it. At least, I would hope.
I say this because they aren't all just some simple spin-off. They weave together to form a much larger story shared between all of the games. Remind me just how it's a good idea to split the story between so many systems? What's "zetta annoying" or however the hell that goes is when someone acts like this is a good thing, blasting at us like our opinions are invalid, and then nonchalantly walking away. People like you. If you don't like that I'm unhappy about not being able to play half the games in the same series, then don't read my comment and move on. We're allowed to speak freely, last I checked, and this new "Law of the Internet" of yours is utterly stupid. Especially since you're complaining about us.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do while you're busy showing your ass to the world over there with your "My opinion is so much better than yours" attitude.

Okay, stop for a second. I can respect your anger, hell, I can sympathise with it. Also, what I'm about to say isn't your fault at all, I just need to vent for a second.
I just wanna know...
Why...
does...
this...
ALWAYS...
FUCKING...
HAPPEN!?
EVERY TIME a new trailer comes out for this game, I post it on this website so that other people can watch it and get excited over tis awesome new game that's coming out this year! I do NOT, repeat, NOT post it so that EVERY LAST PERSON ON THIS SITE CAN ***** ABOUT SQUEENIX'S MARKETING PLAN! Why is this? It's because THESE TRAILERS ARE AWESOME! Didn't you even SEE the goddamn trailer!? ORGANIZATION XIII IS BACK, THE BBS TRIO IS BACK, LEA IS BACK, XION IS BACK, can't you bozos be the LEAST BIT EXCITED ABOUT IT!? But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, instead you have to WHINE and KILL THE MOOD! Wanna know the worst part about it, though? This happens EVERY GODDAMN TIME I POST THE LATEST TRAILER!
(remember, it's not you I'm ranting to, it's everybody.)
Do you wanna know how many people besides me actually sound like they're looking forward to this game? ONE. There's only ONE DAMN PERSON on this ENTIRE THREAD who actually sounds like he's looking forward to this game besides me! Why!? This is the best trailer of them all, and you bastards just keep on spouting the same crap every time!
And before you go on and on about how unfair it is that the games are spread across a ton of consoles, I hear you, so SHUT UP AND LISTEN. You idiots are giving up on this franchise way too easily! Did Sora manage to drive back the Organization by sticking his Keyblade up his ass and crying in a corner? OF COURSE NOT! HE PERSEVERED, DESPITE ALL THE CRAP THROWN AT HIM! You shouldn't be saying "It's on a console I don't have, I'll never play the game", you should be saying "It's on a console I don't have, hopefully one day I'll have enough money to fix that problem".
I feel the need to quote Gurren Lagann here: "If there's a wall in our way, we'll break it down! If there's no path, we'll make one ourselves with our own hands!" This essentially means that you can't solve your problems by complaining how much said problem sucks. If you wanna see what happens in these games, but lack the console, get off your ass and find a way to fix that! Watch an LP on Youtube! Buy a console off of Ebay! Read the manga spin-off! SOMETHING! Kingdom Hearts is one helluva franchise. Believe me, it is worth all the effort to figure out what's going on. Sure, it won't be easy, but stick with it and you won't regret it.
Likewise, when the next big trailer for KH3D comes out, I'm still going to post it. I know that more people are going to *****, but that won't stop me. Why? Because despite all the flamers dominating the comment section, there are still people who enjoy these things; and I intend to deliver.
Oh and I don't want to hear anybody coming up with a counter-argument to this. If you try to counter it, it essentially means that you actually PREFER bitching about the franchise instead of trying to make it all better, which will render said counter-argument moot. GOT THAT!?
*pant*
*pant*
Okay, I'm done. Now can SOMEBODY say something POSITIVE about this trailer for a change?
THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU IS IN IT?!
Oh damn it Square...
I had a PS2. I got KH. I got hooked.
I bought KHII.
I got a PSP and a DS, so I could get BbS and 358/2.
And now..
I'm going to have to get a 3DS.
You act like I'm too stupid to figure this out by myself. You can drop all these games down to four systems. If you've got a 3DS you can play Dream Drop Distance, Re:coded and 358/2 Days. If they were simple spin-offs, there wouldn't be bitching. However, when each contribute vital portions of story that non-spin-offs are guaranteed to not explain, we get a little fucking pissed.
Not gonna lie, the last 20 seconds of that trailer, I could have sworn I felt my body shudder, or at least let out a very pleasing noise from my mouth. Like, I always assumed people would joke when they would say "I need a new pair of pants after seeing X", but now I know, I know what it feels like now. It feels...feels good. Must have rewatched that trailer at least 20 times
I don't have a 3DS, as I was waiting for the Second Version Nintendo would most likely push out, but Dream Drop Distance....SOOOOOOO TEMPTING!!!! Lol, in all honesty, I'm probably going to get a 3DS when this comes out, just didn't want to do that only for Nintendo to announce the new one a couple months later.
No, but seriously, ANYONE who has played most of the KH games knows why this trailer was pretty f'ing awesome. The only thing I really feel bad about are the people who would probably dismiss this game because its a spinoff, when it clearly isn't.
That's why I hope for a KH collection. I mean, it isn't out of the realm of possibilities for SE.
Just include KH 1...and Re:Com...and KH2...and BBS...with trophy support...and make them Final Mixes...then bam, almost instant catch up. Maybe a super mega big Jimminy's Journal across the whole series (Like the MGS4 Database) or something along the lines of a video for the series (like how they showed the basic plot of the ff7 compilation on Advent Children Complete).
Of course, that's all wishful thinking.
