I've recently got into the mood to listen to orchestral pieces, especially those with a prominent violin solo. Does anyone have any good ideas?

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, I'll include a link to the first track from the Bioshock soundtrack, as it exemplifies one example of what I'm looking for. (Also, it'll bring back fond memories for anyone who has played it)

(I also listen to a bit of E.S. Posthumus, and that kind of stuff is cool to list too.)

Samuel Barber: Adagio for Strings

Beethoven: Eroica Symphony

Elgar: Enigma variations (especially Nimrod)

None of them have prominent violin solos (I'm a cellist, so I'm a bit biased), but they are all good orchestral classics =)

I've got a few, since I rather like symphonic metal. I'll start with string quartets and go from there.

All of these are at least instrumentals.

Others I would highly recommend

Watch this guy for violin covers over more modern songs, very good.

I'm happy to pass on further tracks if asked, I've not really posted any related to game soundtracks (I.E. the Halo series, to name just one).

Hope this is okay, though not all have strong string elements or have anything other than a piano.

EDIT: I wrote about half this out, before pressing the bastard 'backspace' when I wasn't in the textbox and lost it all. First and last time I write a response in the textbox.
