Kotor II Broken - Fail at start

I have a problem, i love KOTOR 1 but kotor 2 wont start. I can select character and stuff but when i press ready (in character creation) the loading screen comes up and when it's done the screen gets black and i can hear a droid (or similar) in the background Then the game turns over and dies like a small rat under a truck...

Strange, I'm not exactly distracted, more like intruiged as to what else is there.

OT: It's most likely your game, but a dedicated forum would probably be a much better place to look for answers.

Fortunately, KotOR 1 is timeless. Ignore the grubby second...

You need to download the patch. I had the same problem. Install patches and everything will be ok.

I really liked both kotors alot, and never had any problems with it not working properly.

hopefully ya get it fixed... its really worth of playing.

This exact thing happened to me in-game during KOTOR 1. The noise was the little astro droid that you get.

Kotor 2 was a huge let down still I played through 6 times because it was one of the greatest games ever (did i just contradict myself) although KOTOR2 was a huge letdown I don't know how It could of possibly beat KOTOR1.

Especially when you first found out that you were Revan greatest feeling even. You know what I mean.

Yeah, I never understood the hate for Kotor II. I really enjoyed that game. Sure, it was not as good as the other, and it had it's fair share of technical issues. However it still stood very well on it's own. I didn't keep trying to compare it to Kotor I, and enjoyed it for what it was.

I think the 'darkness' and slightly complex plotline of KOTOR 2 put a few people off. Personally, I loved the hell out of it.

Of course, /somehow/ I managed to make a near unbeatable character with high Charisma and Dominate Mind... so I missed out on having my a$$ handed to me every minute like the first one. That might have jaded my outlook a little XD
