Laptops for games

Ok I know others have asked this before but here it goes.
My current laptop although has gotten me through a lot has been going down hill a lot more recently it is only about 2 maybe 3 years old but I have been having to put it back to factory default twice a week just to get it to work right. I am ready for a new one.

I love computer games and I am very interested in playing The Witcher 2 and The new Starcraft Expo along with other titles that my come out in the next few years and honestly I am tired of not being sure if the laptop can handle it and when it can having to be on the loest settings for everything so

Can anyone suggest a good laptop that can play the most modren games has a lot of space and Ram for them and for my school work. I don't care to much about battery life I can usually find an outlet though a bigish screen and web camra also wouldnt hurt. As for price well cheap is good but I can put out some money I make about 2-300 disposable income every 2 weeks until school the that drops to about 150 or less also I don't have any saved up...

Why do you particularly want a laptop as opposed to a proper gaming PC?

Take a look at what you can afford in the Asus G series of laptops and Sager's range. Not cheap but you should be able to find something decent in your price range.

I am a college kid and have to move around a lot from my class rooms to my place my friends places and my work I need a computer that I can keep with me at all times. I want a gaming laptop but I also need it for other (mostly office type) work too.

Then why not just build a $1000 PC and buy a $500 laptop.

Honestly, the $1000 desktop would probably be better than the $1500 laptop. It'd be even better if you're prepared to cut the laptop down to a cheap netbook for carrying files and taking notes, and the desktop for more important stuff at home.

Of course, you might not want to have that much complication. It's your choice.

That doesn't bug me or anything but to be honest I don't know the interworkings to well I know what a video card is what RAM is etc but as for getting all the parts and puting one together not so much. If someone could suggest a PC Notebook combanation that would fit the task I would be equally grateful

Depends on if you have an OS/Monitor/peripherals.

Win7 don't really mind monitor size don't have any peripheral needs I have a printer mouse can get a keyboard wouldn't mind haveing a web cam but thats not really important

Is your Win7 32 or 64 bit

Should give you enough for a nice Asus ee PC or something.

Also the mobo is x16/x16 so you can crossfire another 6950 down the line.

Should also be able to get some nice overclocks with that HSF.

EDIT: There's a different CPU/mobo combo with the Z68 version of the board for like $10 more, so if you want to do SSD caching in the future then you can go for that.
