Now...I dont spend too much time gaming these days between the HSC and martial arts, but i like to stay in the loop of the gaming world.

I heard some schmuck somewhere tell me that Shadow of the Damned has some of the largest bosses in gaming history and i did a google search thought that was pathetic.

I always thought that those towering goliaths in Painkiller were bigger, scarier and if you didnt know what you were doing - more dangerous, than anything else I've ever faced.

I saw the buggers from God of War...the titans or something? They were big, but i still think they're only equal or a lil smaller than say..The Necrogiant. (look it up, i dont know how to post images).

So i propose to you, tell me the greatest, largest, nastiest boss you know of and what game please.

I'd say Helios. Even though you never fought him per se, he is a world spanning AI, he can control all things, and really, he doesn't even exist. Only as 0's and 1's, billons of em, all controlling the world. You cannot destroy him head on. Only by merging with him can you control his power, or only by taking down the world's electronic infrastructure can he be stopped.

EDIT: From Deus Ex

Have you seen the trailer for Asura's Wrath?

^ This. The only other time I recall fighting a planet sized boss is in Kirby Super Star on the SNES and even then your flying inside NOVA to take out his heart. Seriously, I'm pretty sure that Buddha looking guy from Asura's Wrath breaks the current size record by leaps and bounds.

Jubileus (?) from bayonetta is pretty huge, (at least I think that's the name, the end boss.)
It's bigger than every planet, and you can only kill it by kicking it into the sun.

I can't remember the name of the boss, but in Bulletstorm, there was a big salamander type creature at one point, which was massive, and long as well. I remember seeing it for the first time in a trailer for the game, and I was stunned.

Also, as someone else said above, the Hive Mind in Dead Space was huge as well. Cometo think of it, so was the Leviathan as well.

The bosses in Lost Planet 2 were pretty big.

And isn't there a huge boss in one of the FF games that has like, a million HP?

planet from alpha centauri. The boss fight starts at the beginning of the game and you only know that you fight the boss about half way in. and the whole game takes place on the surface of the boss.

Isn't Bayonetta's final boss God? And isn't God omnipresent? A boss who is technically the size of the universe is hard to beat.

World of Warcraft has some pretty huge guys. Some don't fit on the screen if you are anywhere near them. And how about the Collossi in Shadow of the Collossus?

Isn't there a planet sized character in Transformer's? And wasn't he in one of the old Transformer's video games? Yeah, that guy. I think he ate planets or something.

There's also the big guy from Resistance 2, the one you had to climb onto skyscrapers to fight.

The worm, from Gears 2.
I think you're thinking of Unicron, although I can't remember perfectly since I don't know transformers that well.

OT: I would have to go with the Asura's Wrath Boss, damn he's one big bastard
