Topic is exactly what it sounds like.

After watching a video about it on Game Grumps a couple days ago, I decided to try out the game Rogue Legacy:

God damn, I haven't had this much fun with a super-hard game in a long time. I just beat it 5 minutes ago (with a final lives used total of 140).

And the rest of you?

I finished playing RE4 with my girlfriend a few weeks ago.
Before that it would be the Arkham City DLC Harley Quinn's Revenge, if that counts as a game per se.

Chains of Satinav was the game I beat last. I really liked Memoria, so I decided to play the first game in the series too. Usually I can't stand point and click games, because it's so much random clicking until you maybe progress to the next part. Neither of The Dark Eye games suffers from that though, thanks to some clever functions, like hotspots. Chains of Satinav was mostly fun because you got to see what happened before Memoria.

I decided to buy Resident Evil 4 HD, so I played through that again. I was glad they didn't fuck up the fog.

To The Moon

And boy oh boy, my body wasn't ready for so much emotion.
I logged onto League to play with some friends right after and I was still a crying wreck.

Tales of Xillia, and I loved it. It's a modern version of everything I love about RPGs, with exploration, sidequests, collecting and a good story and characters. I don't know how to explain it, but it has a classic tone to it as well. That may just be the cutscene and gameplay divide or cliches, but there's just some charm there a lot of modern games don't have. Like cutscenes being a reward for playing rather than an annoyance.

I beat Aliens: Colonial Marines a few days ago. I liked it well enough, but it's too bad that the Wey-Yu mercs were more fun to fight than the Xenos were. Oh, and the bosses sucked. A lot.

Shin Megami Tensei IV.

It took me getting railed 3 times by the final boss to finally decide I need to upgrade my team. I went and did some fusions and I wound up finally beating him last night, with a team I was not familiar with. The irony in this? I was rolling a team of magical demons until then. I beat the final boss with a team of physical demons that were nothing but support while Flynn solo'd all the damage.

I'm just happy to have finally beat him.

A couple of days ago I finished Dishonoured, with a Teacup. It also transpires that I had the worst possible ending you could of had and there was me thinking I was being all good and noble...

I finished Bioshock Infinite for the 3rd time :D

I was doing a playthrough for a friend that enjoys watching shooters instead of playing them. It's actually more pleasant having a friend watching and commenting while I explain various details or ask for preferred combat approaches.

That ending still has me choking back man tears ;_;

I beat the Witcher 2 recently, absolutely loved it. I can't wait for the third one to come out. I'm almost done with Persona 4 Golden too, just too many dang extra dungeons.

Well, I just beat another round of FTL. Yet still have not gotten lucky enough to complete the "Crystal Cruiser" random event. Why is it so hard to get the right zones in order? I feel like the game is trolling me at this point.

However, if we are going for a completely new game completion, Saint's Row 4; and let me tell you, every beat pumping second of it was amazing. I have not had that much fun playing a video game in years.

The last game I beat was Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. I had a lot of fun but it was disappointingly short at only 4 hours.

Dragons Crown ...sorta I have beaten Normal mode but the game ties in hard and infernal to be an extension of the game so I am not sure I can say I have beaten it yet just that I have got one ending.

Before that it was Guacamelee both games are excellent and both were bought on a whim guess I got lucky this time.

Finally finished Dragon Age: Origins. Yeah, it took me a while, but damn does it get kinda tedious after the prologue.

the new Tomb Raider. It was ok, serviceable but pretty bland and uninspired story and character-wise, a few things didn't sit right with me either; the villains, also rather than keeping with cool WW2-era weaponry they ruin it by having your guns transform into completely different ones, the very unconvincing way Lara talks to herself whenever she finds anything.

I'm playing Skullgirls and League so I can't "finish" them exactly, unless you count the story modes in SG which you can beat within 15 minutes each depending on how good your character's skillset is against the final boss. Peacock fucking ruins her whereas anyone slow or without range is fucked. I'm dreading Cerebella's story. Grapple character? More like, can't be touched lol.

I play online near exclusively since the story modes really need to be... Better? Less bare-bones I suppose. I know it's an indie game but it feels like they start the game halfway though a story we never got to see. Unless Valentine and Double bring a wealth of backstory once I get to unlock theirs.

Oh and fuck Squigly. Fuck her. Everyone and their pet snake goes and does the triple relaunch three quarter health combos that can be hitconfirmed into from any other move she hits you with. Oh but don't worry, she has no air dash or double jump so this totally means we can stop trying to balance her. It's not the only problem I have with her you understand because this would be an essay if I explained everything

I'm becoming more and more convinced that my beloved Filia is going to be in the lower end of the tier list, maybe the outright worst considering the small cast, I am the only one playing her online so far apart from one or two others.

Tales of Xillia also. Loved it. The story was classic but enjoyable JRPG style and it had the funnest combat of any Tales game by far. Chaining linked artes is damn fun.

The last game I finished was the original Tomb Raider. There, also, the characters and story are also bland and uninspired. And I think Natla hired someone to kill Lara just to be evil rather than because there was any real advantage over paying her as agreed.

I do like the level design though. There are a lot of interesting things in the first game.
