Sadly enough, I watched A Very Merry Muppets Christmas Movie earlier and that sort of made me tear up. The Muppets have always held a very special place in my heart and the nostalgia always seems to get to me.

I'm wondering if i've been moved to tears since Toy Story 3... I don't think i have... Although i will admit Captain America brought me close. Just that he's in control of the giant plane and he's on the radio with Carter talking about how they're gonna do stuff in the future and they both know he isn't gonna survive this thing crashing. yeah that was pretty powerful although i think i was comforted by the fact that he doesn't actually die in the back of my mind, so the feeling was somewhat muted and thus no tears.

So yeah Toy Story 3 and all it's child innocence destroying wonder.

Grave of the Fireflies... first and last movie to ever make me cry, though some others have come close (the ending of Toy Story 3 was pretty close).

As of yet, the only film to have brought me to tears was Brokeback Mountain, though that may have taken advantage of my emotional state at the time. Still, very sad and moving film. :(

The last film that made me cry was The Green Mile, the execution scene was particularly sad.

I never cry at films. They're just pieces of art. They're not going to kill you.

Though 'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer made me facepalm, because it was so store-high-in-transit. Also, this thread has been weaved many times.
That's the only reason you can think of for why people are moved by movies? Or are you trying to be stoic right now?

Personally, it's 5 Centimetres Per Second, partially because of the emotional attachments to it, but mainly because it's just a beautiful and somewhat sad movie. If you like anime/romance, I highly recommend it.

Moon. Many scenes are worth shedding tears, it's that sad. The film is about a man who faced isolation on the moon for three years and is due to return to Earth.

I don't think I've ever cried at a movie, theres just not really enough time to get invested in the characters really. I think the closest I have ever come to crying for some fictional character was on the last episode of season 8 of scrubs. It's sooo good :)

Pretty close with The Next Three Days. Damn, Elizabeth Banks and Russel Crowe pulled off their roles flawlessly. Only other one that got even close with at the very end of Gladiator.

I recently rewatched Fellowship of the Ring again. And the scene towards the end with Sam and Frodo, about how Sam will never leave him. My eyes were watering, it was the first time that scene made me do that.

Marley and Me, because of Windixe, and Where the Red Fern Grows are the only ones to come to mind at the moment.
