In the bonus scene at the end of thor we see Nick Fury and that doctor (cannot remember his name) talking about the box. what is with this box? it has confused me and i thought the escapist might know all about it.

All I know is that it is [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_cube"]the Cosmic Cube[/a], but I don't comic books all that well and especially not the Thor comics, so feel free to read that wikipedia page I linked.

It's the cosmic cube, which is going to be a major plot point in the Captain America movie, it could also pave the way for Thanos in future movies.
The rumored Infinity Gauntlet also points to Thanos being involved at some point.

Edit: The Infinity Gauntlet was in Odin's treasure vault in Thor, didn't see it, but apparently it's there.

Supposedly it is a cosmic cube. According to wikipedia it is going to be a main plot point in the Captain America movie. Basically gods powers in a box.

Huh if it's going to be in Captain America then I'd imagine that might be an item they obtained in that movie since chronologically Captain America ought to be first.
Yup.

I missed the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos will probably be in the Avengers movie coming out next year or so.

BTW I wonder if Loki is fully corporeal or if he can only possess people?

As someone who has never seen Cap. 'merica more than a couple pictures I was confused as hell, while everyone around me went "Oh my gosh!".
I guess the more you know... but it doesn't seem like a big reveal since all the fans of CA already knew it was a big plot point.

I'm going to guess that it will be involved in the Avengers movie as well. I'm assuming Loki and some other(s) will be the villains of the film and will be a way to tie everyone together. Stark and Cap are fairly easy to connect to the group within the films but Thor and Hulk need some work story wise. (Note, this goes completely off the films. I am not using the comics as they haven't influenced the film stories that much.)
