So, my friend told me to check out the newest xkcd, and all I can say is "Holy shit this is huge". Seriously, look for yourself. [http://xkcd.com/1110/]

See if you can find anything interesting. I found an X-Wing from Star Wars, and someone else found a Minecraft reference in a cave somewhere.

EDIT: I see many people want the whole thing, and I don't blame them, I certainly couldn't find everything myself.
Full image pieced together is here. [http://www.mrphlip.com/xkcd1110/]

Found Black Hat and an AA gun.

Good combo.
That was like, the first thing I found. My friend found World 1-1 from Super Mario.

Apparently there's a Sarlaac Pit too, somewhere.

I think there's a giant sledge hammer on the top of the building in the left.

I just came here to post this. Yeah. This must be the greatest comic strip of all time.

It's not too far to the right of the starting position.

That is so annoying, spend ages clicking and dragging to see everytihng, probably missed loads and sometimes iit doesn't load.

I can't believe how huge it is. I got to the mario level and decided to see if there was anything down in the pits, and I was scrolling and scrolling and scrolling until I eventually came out on the other end and there's a whole new area!

I want to know how much time he spent making this. I'm also curious to know all the easter eggs seeing as I probably won't find most of them.

I cheated by nosing around a bit in the source and yeah it is quite big.

Also, The first time I checked it this morning, I thought I didn't get the joke. Until I read this topic, I didn't realize it was an instruction, not some sort of pun. Derp.

Wish there was a link to the full image, I would've been a lot more impressed.

Someone needs to piece it together or something...I feel like I'm probably missing a lot of it by just dragging over the surface and through the tunnels.

I want to go straight up, but I tried and it was white space for ages and I gave up and refresehed. I'm sure he's included space, but how long do you have to drag to get there?

Didn't you read the alt text? That's what I did - read the comic, somewhat get the joke, check for alt test, says "click and drag" so I did. And I got the joke.

It's dynamically loaded, so it'll take a little while. I'll check if anybody has done it, if not, I'll try my hand at it.

Well, if you don't mind cheating the image (the small size you get to see when dragging it doesn't help), here you go. [http://www.mrphlip.com/xkcd1110/]

When I looked, there were a bunch of missing images on the left hand side of the map. Hopefully those are fixed by now.

Basically though, you begin in the centre, and things extend out left and right. To the left there are a lot of towers, beyond a mountain framed by a rather tall cliff. To the right, theres a large gentle hill and beyond it, L1-1 of Mario. The clincher is that the holes in the Mario stage lead down, and intertwine before opening up into a large cavern. At the base, theres a sealed hole (sorta like in the 666 episode of Dr Who). Drop down there and there's another large cavern with a support frame in the roof and a sarlaac pit. Tunnels leading off to the left from here enter a series of horizontal tunnels (again, all but one are short deadends). Some of these dead ends open up into tree filled rooms. At the far left of the horisontal bit, theres a Minecraft creeper, and the tunnels begin to rise again, culminating in an X wing, and eventually terminating at the surface, just beyond the aforementioned towers.

I spent a full two hours this morning trying to find everything.

I knew there'd be stuff in the sky that I missed. I got most of the underground things.

I was actually really worried he'd have put in Cthulhu or an underground eldritch monster or something and it'd scare the crap out of me.
