I first like to say its good to be back here on the Escapist. Long story short, I was visiting relatives Turkey for three weeks and none of them had internet. But while I was there I leaned a lot of new stuff.

Here is a short list:
1: Cross the streets at your own risk
2: Factory made food is a lot better than homemade
3: Everyone who owns a console only have a copy of Fifa 09
4: I'm a magnet for stray cats
5: Turks LOVE Fifty Cent.

So did anyone else learn anything new recently?

Beaver's are the only mammal that NEED to eat their own shit to survive.

Some others do eat their shit, but they do not need to. i.e. rabbits.

I learned never to rely on my fellow human. For whatever reason.

I also learned that I'm starting to get an odd satisfaction from the thought of attacking my friends with lead pipes.

Yes, these two things are connected.
No good bastards.

Coca cola doesn't actually dissolve your teeth, but it does remove rust (phosphoric acid).
White mistletoe berries aren't life threatening (they just make you throw up, unless you eat loads of them I suppose); they are actually in use in Germany for anti-cancer medication.

^ Both from an amazing book I've read :D, though I did know about phosphoric acid before.

I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

Now seriously. I learned how to properly make various dishes, like for example soufflés that have a reasonable chance of not inflating. Really, more men should learn how to cook. Selfmade food with fresh ingredients ... delectable.

I think you can do it on one of the inverse Gold surfaces (0,0,-1) (can't do the hats) if you use long chain thiols plus a strong base.

I learned that people can turn on your for the slightest of perceived wrongs. Apparently I did something that upset on of my office workers. She walked off and never called in to quit, just didn't show up and stopped answering her phone. Didn't even drop off the deposit, she just worked a full day kept the deposit bad, and wouldn't answer calls. I had to send my receptionist over to her house, and she told her I was a bastard, and said she should look for another job as well. Funny that. Maybe one of these days I will figure out what I did that made me a bastard.
