My girlfriend sent me a link http://tinyurl.com/de2mz9 to toys powered by your brain. Specifically, toys that read the electricity generated by your brain as you concentrate.

I saw this, and as ridiculous as I might look, I think I'll have to get one when they come out. You know, on the off chance I can learn to Force Choke someone. (Ok, right now it's just controlling a fan to raise a ball, but work with me, people, work with me. Force Powers!)

Think this could become some sort of input method for computer games in the future? Stretch your brain while gaming? I'd love to see this technology explored further. I don't know that we could get to thought dictation sensitivity, but there's gotta be some application in which it might be useful. What do you think?

I sometimes wonder why in that scene where Obi-Wan messes with one of the Stormtroopers, why didn't one of the other guys turn and go, "Gary, what are doing?"
"These aren't the droids we're looking for" "Dude!! they clearly are Gary.. I knew having a rookie on the squad was bad news!"

For fuck sake Gary!, standard Stormtrooper protocol demands we at least take incredibly poor shots at them.

Gary probably got bullied at stormtrooper school.

Been done since 80s.

There is already hardware that allows people to control electronics and PC with their mind. It is just really hard to use and sometimes inaccurate...

Wow, some actual contribution... finally.

Anyway. I'm sure it's been done for a long time. I fell and hit my head, and got an EEG scan done. I understand that it's probably rudimentary tech at best for the moment, but I think it'd be interesting to see where it takes us. Our computers are and software are becoming much more sophisticated; to what use could this be put?

How would you harness it? Is there an AHA! application for "mind reading" tech? Scrolling? Opening programs? And while I'm aware of the fact that it may be difficult, what potential benefits could be reaped by exercising the brain to attain proficiency and control?

Oh how many times I have stopped, raise my hand towards an object out of reach, and concentrated with odd facial expressions.

Some doubted me and some applaud my efforts, but one day it WILL move.

I would just learn how to move things so I would never have to be stuck last in a really long line. Or in rush hour.
