How do you imagine things from the lego movie translating into the real world? For instance I imagine that the show "Where are my Pants" translates into a gritty crime drama a la Fargo meets Law and Order SVU.

Sounds a lot more like Memento. The main character has brain damage which stops him from forming new memories, meaning that he has no short term memory. Every day he wakes up, has no idea where he is, what he was doing the night before, or where his pants have gone.
