It gets pretty tiring to constantly see on the internet that the new whatever-game on the new whatever-console is either going to be seen as the saviors of gaming in general, or trash that will further throw fellow gamers and gaming corporations to a hell they cannot escape.

I guess its a trend nowadays to "judge the book by its cover" and not fully see the potential that can be created from the new device and games.

So for once, can ANYTHING be said politely about the new consoles and games, along with exclusitivity (if that's a word) and your opinions on how the next-gen is currently looking, or just do what most do and gloat or be a raging prick about how something is not going your way.

Why? Looking just at the Xbone, they've announced the price, they've announced games and they've announced info on the DRM. If that's not enough to pass judgement on it then I don't know what is.

This here...there's a difference between judging a book by it's cover, and reading a summary of the premise on the back of that book, and deciding whether you like it then.

Anyways, how much is there to read into a console? All we need to know is does it have games we want to play? If yes! Awesome! But what did we get from the press conference from Microsoft? A lot of confusing shit we didn't want to hear.

So do I think we have to right to judge the Xbone with all the info that we have? Yup! You bet ye!

Not to sound snarky, but what do you expect me to do on a Monday afternoon? Honestly, there's nothing else to do, and I like to make fun of games that look really stupid, the industry has the nerve to make DRM-ridden consoles, so what's the problem?

The systems are not out yet. Believe it or not, reactions can theoretically affect the end product. If Microsoft bothered to listen to anyone, they could still fix their system and not completly blunder this generation. While many fans can get carried away, that doesnt invalidate everyone, and more companies should listen to the people. But there is a different to listening and understanding the fans and pandering to the fans.
