I want to do a Lets Play! but i have no idea what game to do a lets play of :\
I want you guys to tell me what you want to see a lets play of, and i'll see which one I think I'd enjoy playing aswell as people watching.

Have you thought about a theme for your Let's Play? Just playing a game and talking some about it can get pretty boring. I actually enjoyed one where the guy talked about the history of Mega Man, and got into a lot of detail about the first game, including things that lots of players probably didn't know.

I was looking to play a game from start to finish, with a some funny but also serious commentary that is recorded as I play the game. I'll do it on PC format.

IMO you should do open world game like JC2,Fallout 3 & NV,prototype,oblivion and skyrim when it comes out,ME series.

Any game that has the potential to go horribly wrong. If not, watching someone play is just very boring.

I was looking to play a game from start to finish, with a some funny but also serious commentary that is recorded as I play the game. I'll do it on PC format.

By "format", she meant "written with screenshots, or video". Most are familiar with video LPs, but I'm writing a text-and-screenshot on this site (which I'm updating soon, I swear!).

Text-and-screenshot are faster to prepare and are more forgiving when you make a mistake (MUCH more forgiving), and allow you to skip the boring bits of the game more smoothly if need be. Video, of course, has the bonus of having a MUCH higher entertainment ceiling (watch MangaMinx's LP of Amnesia for an example) and not requiring you to read everything. If you have quick reflexes and can improv easily, go with video, otherwise, go with text-and-screenshot.

If you go video, do action-adventure or streamlined RPGs.

If you do text-and-screenshot, do long RPGs, puzzle games, classic adventure, or strategy.

(The above isn't held fast, if you can do one game in the other format, feel free. The above is easiest, though!)

Okay, I've made my choices.
I'm going to do a Let's play of Drakensang. I will be playing it from the beginning with no tutorial and on the hardest setting (if it has one). It will be in video format and I shall be doing a commentary feed over the top, recording the commentary as I play.

I'll update this thread when I've got the game and done my first video but any tips you can provide on how to make it an entertaining Lets Play would be greatly appreciated.

If your going to do a lets play, DO IT! Or call it's "lets play the first 3 hours".

Shouldn't you be asking your viewers what they want to see and not a bunch of random people who know a lot of games?
