This is my first forum post so bear with me i'll learn in time.
Every week i will post a "Let's reminisce", this is for those that enjoyed the older games and would like to share their experiences, personal achievments or for advice on any of the games discussed.
The first console i ever owned was a SNES and the only two games i had for years was Super Mario All Stars and LOZ : A Link To The Past. Now the reason i have picked the latter this time is because even now it sticks out in my mind as possibly the best game to come out of the SNES.
It begins on a dark and stormy nightin Hyrule, you awake from a dream in which the princess Zelda ask's you for help. Your uncle has also recieved the same message and you awake to find him ready for battle. He leaves you follow and so the adventure begins.
Now being a very small child you have to realize that most of my time playing at first was hopeless wandering about not having a clue what was going on, yet still i played on. Infact the first time i completed it was 3 years later. I was five and could read, and you wouldn't believe how much easier it gets when you can read.
So you bust Zelda from prison and take her to the sanctuary where an old priest tells you what's what. So you go to the three dungeons defeat the boss', pull the Master Sword from the Lost Woods, gain items, health and beat the evil wizard Agahnim so you completed it right... WRONG!
You get sent to the Dark World. Now if you have played through the game your first experience of the Dark World is just before you enter the third dungeon on Death Mountain. I have to say for 16-bit graphics i was pretty scared it's all dark and purple and theres a little orange dinosaur kicking the snot out of a little pink ball, who you could speak to.
Well it only gets stranger from there.
You are told by Sage Sahasrahla that the evil wizard Agahnim has broken the Wise Men's seal and turned the Golden Land into the Dark Land. Before the Dark World the game has been quite simple and easy, with each of the dungeons being only slightly harder than the last, so you csn imagine my shock when i was confronted by a bomb throwing cyclops, which took up to six hits to defeat. From the start of Dark World you have to go through another 7 dungeons to defeat the evil pig Ganon and ultimately save Hyrule and the seven princess'.
I have spent days in total on this game experiencing the bright colours and nice music of Hyrules Light World to the srange and moody Dark World. Even now there are times when it is very tricky and i have to work out what to do but that's what keeps me coming back for more everytime i hook up my SNES. i would like to thank you for reading this and hope you enjoy reminscing about one of the greatest games of all time.
i would like to add that if i have posted this in the wrong place or it's bad form to let me know. i would also like to ask if anyone knows how to set up a website as i would like to continue this on a bigger scale. Thanks

Well that was nice and all, but I'd say you could just start writing full reviews like this and post them in the "User Reviews" section.

And I do indeed love this game.

thanks for the feedback and it actually is a really good game
It's not a good game, it's arguably one of the best games of all time. Personal opinion of course, but it's about as close to perfect as gaming has come to, for me.

Game is fucking awesome. I still have an SNES hooked up with ALttP ready to play. I memorized where every single item, heart, and hidden location is, thus proving I have too much free time.

This game is still one of the best the series has to offer, my first ever Zelda game on my first ever console.

Though truth be told I could never could figure out how to get to the Tower of Hera so I was stuck there till the guide for the remake came out when I was 11.
