When you think of dragons, what kind do you think of? European or Asian? Do they only breathe fire, or can they have ice breath? Do they fly, or do you count wurms as dragons? Are they nothing more than fire breathing t-rexs, or what?

I think mostly of the European kind although with fire, acid/poison or gas breath but also of Lindorme (Wyrms in England if I am not mistaken).

But I also think of the dragons in Dragon's World [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433367/].

I tend to think:

"If I see another brontosaurus with wings, I'm going to go crazy"

Yeah, I like me some creative looking Dragons. Give'em frog tongues, or make'em bipedal, just go nuts! I have to say its because of this that I found How To Train Your Pet Dragon, so enjoyable.

Is it weird that I was thinking Bruce Lee in regards to that question? *KA-BRICKED* OW!!!

Okay...in all seriousness, I usually think of the European fire-breathing types. Though I will not discount those I've seen in Asian tapestries, Harry Potter, Dragon Booster, and, of course...Pokemon.

I think of Ricky The Dragon Steamboat. He doesn't breathe fire but his breath smells like roses.

it depends what context we're thinking of them in. just DRAGON by itself reminds me of Tolkien-Esq smaug-ish type dragons, the kind that hoard giant mounds of treasure and can talk and stuff. so classic European dragons, i guess.

They have wings, but they can spew whatever they want (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Plasma Bullets (Panzer Dragoon))

Personally, I think of Blue Dragons - specifically the Blue Dragons from Dragonlance. Way prettier than standard D&D Blue Dragons, smart, loyal to their riders.

Then again, Kitiara is my hero, so.... ^^;;

But, to answer your question - I think of the multitude of dragons from Dungeons and Dragons, including Metallics, Chromatics, Linnorms, Wyverns, Drakes, and various flavors of Dragonmen (again, usually defaulting to Draconains from Dragonlance).

I usually only think of Asian dragons if I'm running/playing in an asian-based setting.

I tend to think of European/Western style dragons
Since I grew up with (and still play) a lot of D&D I'm fine with them breathing fire, ice, acid, lighning, poison gas etc.

This is instantly what I think of when someone mentions dragons. I think of the D&D fire-breathing red dragon because my cleric got eaten by one once.

It was horrible.

I love the look of the European dragons but then again the Asian dragons have the words most bitchin' beards, usually i picture Asian dragons since i grew up in that part of the world

Western dragons. Destructive fire-spewing behemoths are always the very first thing that comes to mind.

I think of dragons in taxonomic view, so like deivinding into genus and species and such.

I think the reason of this is because of my interest in cryptozoology.

Entirely traditional European/fantasy style dragons in the vein of "Dragonlance", "Might & Magic 6" etc. is what comes to mind.
