After seeing Ghost of a Tale on the post-ZP stream, I decided to check it out. I like story driven adventure games, and I think rodents are cute (my favorite pets growing up were gerbils). I found that I really like the game, despite a few flaws.
One of the things that people point out is that you eventually get a costume that invalidates the stealth gameplay. However, I found the stealth to be so easy that I was happy to find the suit of armor so that I could treat this more like a straight-up adventure game. I do really respect the decision of the devs to forego traditional combat. I feel like too many games try to shoehorn in 'action', even when it doesn't fit with the tone.
Tilo is a musician who wants to find his wife. He's not an action hero or a killer. I feel like this comes over really well by both the writing and the gameplay.
