Light Gun/Rail Shooter/Arcade Game Recommendations

Thanks to "Z of the Na'vi" I have found the rail shooter, again thank you Z. anyway, as I said in the original post I'm trying to get into more arcade games/rail shooters and I saw a bunch of people mention Time Crisis so now I'd like to know other games that people've seen in arcades. Not necessarily good games I feel that sampling the bad is just as important as sampling the good, but just seen/played in general. The series I do know are

- Sin and Punishment
- House of The Dead
- Virtua Cop
- Dino Stalker
- Dead Space Extraction
- Gun Survivor
-Time Crisis

So aside from those series/games (unless you have reviews or details about them you think I should know) I'd like to hear other opinions. Again thank you in advance.

I've played Time Crisis 3 and I intend on playing the rest of the series but at the moment I'm looking for this Egypt game specifically.

Oh crud, I played an egypt styled light gun game on my holiday... No idea what the name of it was /useful post.

I remember playing the game you're thinking of and it was pretty fun. They had it at this giant arcade called disney quest. The only shooters they could have is this one, since you use staffs against mythical creatures, the star wars arcade game, and the shooting competition game. Good times tho'

I remember that. Can't remember the name though. I played it on the side of a tennis court in a holiday resort.

Time Crisis 2 though is still pretty awesome.

Recently I've been trying to get into old light gun/rail shooter arcade games and there was this one game I played when I was younger that I loved but couldn't beat. Not to say I beat many rail shooters I enjoyed playing the rail shooter I'm looking for now the most. The obvious problem is I can't remember it's title.
What I remember about the game was that it was set in Egypt (specifically in a temple/pyramid) and you were one of these two explorers who had staffs. They wanted to get some treasure or something, but the real reason I loved the game was because the game had hundreds of different levels and each time you played you'd go through a different set of levels. First boss was always the same though. It was a giant King Tut mask that shot gems at you.
I don't remember much else seeing as I never beat the first boss but if anyone knows this game and has some information on it, sharing it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

One of my favorite rail shooters is Ghost Squad, which just so happens to have been ported onto the Wii.

My favourite light-gun games were the House of the Dead series, especially HoTD3. But the only real way to play them, and indeed any light-gun game, is in an arcade cabinet. The HoTD3 cabinet used pump-action shotguns which were awesome.

Yes the voice acting was unbelievably bad (Microsoft Sam could have portrayed more emotion), but to me thats part of the charm.

On a side note, does anyone remember the Point Blank arcade game? As far as I can remember it was sort of a minigame collection, shooting moving targets etc.
