Hello, my name is Julio.
I've posted here quite a few times looking for a team of people to make a a game. Surprisingly enough over the past two years while we were mainly working on it on our free time. I've even invested some money on the project over time. We fell into a rut for a few months but now we're out and work is flowing through again.
What we're looking for is someone who knows C++/ C# or two people who may know one of them.
We're making games for the passion and aren't' making it solely to make a lot of money. If you're only thinking of it as something to make you rich then you're coming in with the wrong attitude. We're looking for someone open minded and is willing to finish what's left to code. A lot of the more important things have already been finished, such as the physics and Level editor. It's built from a custom made engine and it was built to be modular that way others can understand the code. The game is also protected as well.
It's simply a prototype as we wanted to make something first before making a full fledged game, I don't want to let people play shit, I want them to have fun. If you're okay with this small humble little team than please keep reading.
We have a finished Soundtrack, sprites of the main cast are done and tiles for the map are nearly done. Cutscenes and some enemy AI's haven't been finished quite yet and there are quite a few other things we still have to do. However it's easier to explain if you can see it. We run it through an SVN and it's all pretty easy access.
It's a 2D platformer and is a story about three blobs saving a pretty blob from an evil blob. It was inspired from classic games and modern day indies. If you're interested in working with us shoot me a message through here, if you have questions post them on the thread so that way it will help answer other people's questions.
If you're someone looking to get paid by me. I don't have much money too pay like a worker. If anything it's mainly all on your free time if you're willing to contribute. I'm still paying for the artwork and stuff so I'm tight on a budget. So please understand. If you're good enough than if we manage to make an awesome prototype then I'll definitely make sure you're part of the full project!
I must state again that this is merely a prototype. We want to create a full version but I want to release a smaller game to see if people actually like it first (I don't want to promise a dinner is good without giving someone a sample first to see if they'll like it at all).
We've had other programers come and go at their leisure and the game has been worked on for the past 2 years. Some either to pursue their own goals or their careers taking over a majority of their time. I still keep contact with most of them but if you need help or reference I can get you their contact information so you're not flying blindly. I want things to be easier for you as well if you have suggestions to make things better let me know!
I do hope to hear from you guys soon!
TLDR People: Need C#/C++ person/ people. Doing it for passion not just money. Have a lot of work already done. If you want me to pay don't expect much.
Here's a link to our Twitter if you want to see some artwork.
