Looking for game suggestions

I'm looking for games, preferably RPGs or action-adventure games, that have base/home building/improvement aspects. Something similar to Neverwinter Nights 2, Assassins Creed 3 or the Suikoden series. Preferred platform would be PC, but PS3, Vita or 3DS would be ok as well. I've tried google, but it's hard finding anything that's not an RTS.

Any suggestions?

Dragon Age Inquisition has a little bit of base building and the like. Not whole sale castle siege style, but little bits and bobbles.
Fallout New Vegas, maybe? You can get little bases and do things.
Oh! Skyrim and its Hearth-whatever DLC. Bandits can attack your house and you have to smack 'em in the balls with a hammer! Its great fun!
