Looking for good online multiplayers for PS3

well HEY escapists ^_^

Recently I have been, very, very, VERY bored... . Now, I only have 3 games (Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction(completed 12 times until I got EVERYTHING... 100% FTW ) InFamous(also completed 100%) and Final Fantasy XIII (utter bullshit)) and they are all either played 'till there is literally NOTHING to do, or just incredibly boring

Now I'm looking for games that have online, because those hardly ever get boring unless:

1: you are likely you are going to get raped by noob hackers in EVERY SINGLE GAME because the security on that game shit = fail (-.-')

2: the actual game itself is just absolute bollocks

3: the underage bastards have... wait what?! TROLLS ARE RICH have MONEY NOW?!!!! SINCE WHEN DID TROLLS GET MICS?!?!?!?!?!

4. Like in MW2, some people have more of an "advantage" over others just because of their level, which is bullshit because in real life, you don't get upgrades when you turn 80, infact, you get downgrades!

so yeh, as you can see, I'm not very picky so anything will do if you suggest a shitty game I will hit you so hard even Google will not be able to find you!

Not played the competitive part, but the COOP part of Uncharted 2 was quite fun.

LittleBigPlanet has brilliant multiplayer! LBP2 is coming out soon, i'd really recommend getting that.

As far as shootery games go you have Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. I've only played Uncharted 2 and it seemed really fun, or co-op was fun at least.

Wipeout HD and Motorstorm are really fun both on and offline, if you like racing games.

yeh I was thinking about getting it but I'm only 15 and my mums just a bish when it comes to games like these :'(

love racing games, love motorstorm, but wipeout is just not my sort of thing I don't really get the difference I guess I just like it when there are actual wheels... I don't know :S

How do you have a PS3 and not have one of the best exclusives for the system? Uncharted 2 is a must have. If you're playing MW2 there is no reason she should care about Uncharted. If you want a game solely for online play Mag is a decent FPS if you don't want MW2. Other games to think about in my opinion would be Killzone 2, RE5, Resistance 2, Warhawk is a old game so you'll find it cheap and its fun, Also if you want some single player games pick up Heavy Rain, and MGS4 obviously.

Now I'm a huge fan of KillZone 2, so I'll say KillZone 2, It has a solid lobby system and most games are either just BodyCount or "all objectives". The squad and spawn system are superb where you can spawn in your base (thats protected) or on your Squad leader if in a squad, also being in a squad auto mutes everyone not in that squad.

but there is one problem in its multiplayer that stands above all others in how you level up, if you haven't played KZ2 then the leveling system is thus;
You unlock a new Class (guns aren't important in this game, its the class'), lets say you unlock The Scout class

Now to level up to get The Scout's secondary badge ability you need to Kill 5 enemies while cloaked (i.e invisible), in 8 seperate games, for each game you get a ribbon and the 8 game mark you get the medal and the new ability which you also then need to get 8 ribbons for. It gets better, if you want to scope in on your enemies you need to kill 10 extra people with the sniper rifle on top of your cloaked kills in 8 separate games!.

You have to do this with everything in the game, all badges, and where it gets difficult for people to get used to is that for a newbie to maximise your chances you need to get into a game that takes about an hour to fulfill, and your not even garanteed to get the medal if you fucked up or were playing against savvy opponents.

Losing out on a medal is cause for utter rage because you have to spend another hour of your life trying to get it.

We refer to them as wraith whores. (I use a sniper so no one gets near me ). Killzone 2 is fun but hard for people who are used t MW2 after playing for a few hours you'll get used to the controls and have loads of fun. NOt saying R2 isn't fun but only the great players still play so you'll still find lots of big matches but vets like me would be playing. Still its fun.

The grinding in KillZone isn't the problem, its that if your new to it and trying to get the medals to unlock secondary abilities its an absolute pain in the bum, sure lots of grinding but its when you fail to get a ribbon/medal that it becomes annoying, also you level up too quickly at first and then nothing for 6 months... meaning that you get all the pro players hunting you down after 10 hours of play that know all the tactics to overcome the class ability you've currently got.

Uncharted 2. It has a surprisingly active multiplayer that I've spent a while on and the single player is good enough for several playthroughs. You won't be disappointed.

Oh, and if you're 15, what should the problem be with getting a 15+ game? I'm 15 and I still have to get my mother to tell the guys that the store that it's ok for me to play Metal Gear Solid because it's 18+ here...

Not played the competitive part, but the COOP part of Uncharted 2 was quite fun.

The whole multi-player part, not just the co-op, of Uncharted 2 is very well fleshed out and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Other than that I really enjoy Bad Company 2. It seems that on the PS3 it's not as sniper infested as you hear about and I practically never have a crap connection on that. You also don't get such a huge advantage with leveling as you get in MW2. Yeah there's a bit, but because teamwork is so much more important you can still get along pretty well with lower tier weapons. The only stupid thing is that the Engineer starts without his repair tool and that the Medic starts without health packs and a defib, you have to earn both. But I love it to bits.

But that's all that I can recommend, I play most of my multi-player games on the PC. At least those 2 are great though, that I know of.
