So I've just started sketching again and so far all I've managed to create is some lvl 60 monk profiles all things besides sketching is amazing you'll never stop meh! But lately I've been hoping to find a good program for making animation stills besides the all important paint,
In short any good animation/sketching apps for the intention of game design!

I am a fan of Sketchbook Pro for sketching purposes, I use GIMP for other stuff. Sketchbook Pro is a subscription service now, but I got it first back with the 2011 version which was before the subscription change (but the sub is pretty cheap)

someone already mentioned sketchbook pro (which is an awesome program and i highly recommend), so I'm going to suggest manga studio. Pretty beefy and has lots of options. You should feel right at home if you have any experience with illustrator.

a while back I received a download of comicado as a gift on my steam account. comicado is pretty cool, but it's geared toward sketching, illustration, storyboards, and comics, so the whole animation thing might be a stretch. for everything else though, it is awesome. it even features a reference doll feature which goes a long way whenever you're trying to figure out some tricky anatomical proportions but have no reference to work from.

Going to second Manga Studio.

Great program, really versatile. Does everything I need it to do and more.
