Looking For: PSP Fighting Game

I generally use my PSP on the train to and from class which gives me a good half hour to play twice a day. This doesn't give me much time to advance most games so I usually end up playing one of the cheap casual games they have in the PSP store or maybe a racing game (but those generally bore me except for the Mario Kart/Crash Team Racing variety).

So, what I'm looking for is a good fighting game. I have Tekken from PS1 which is good but not great and I've had it for over a year so it really doesn't capture my interest anymore. I just got Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny which has far better gameplay and graphics than I could ever have hoped for but it has two fatal flaws: no online play and no story mode. I enjoy quick matches and so on but that's more of a bathroom break play time not a whole train ride.

Are there decent PSP fighting games out there because I've had trouble locating one which gets decent reviews?

I believe there are Tekken games for the PSP. I'd try looking into that.
And just because a specific site gives a game a bad review doesn't mean it is bad.

Well you should look into Guilty Gear accent core XX, Darkstalkers, and Dissidia: Final Fantasy. The first two are classic 2d fighters and Guilty Gear is especially good. Dissidia on the other hand is a very unconventional fighter and pretty much a completely different experience that you will get from other fighters. It's a full open arena 3d fighter with a lot of RPG elements built into it. It's pretty accessible and still has that hard core aspect to it, although be warned, the beginning is slow and you need to put some work into the game before you get the the REAL fun. There is a demo for Dissidia on the PSN but it really sucks and can be misleading compared to the real game, it's just there to show off the bare bones of the combat and arcade mode, nothing more.
