I'm looking for two short films. They were seen on the same website years ago, but for the life of me I can't remember the website. It had amazing animated short films and they were professional level. As I said, this was years ago, so my memory of the details for the films is spotty. Since I am looking for these films I have to explain them, so spoilers, but I'll try not to ruin endings. Surprise!
The first film was an old man in a room on a ship, looking as if he was working on calculations. He ends up rifling through drawers and finding a gun, exiting the room. As he walks along the viewer sees how immense the ship is, housing thousands of people with rooms reaching high and low. He continues to walk through the ship and climbs up a ladder until he is at the deck. He looks around the ocean and after some time sees land. He is overjoyed at the prospect: It is hinted that there virtually is no land left in the world. But soon his face turns into terror and the camera pans out to reveal a dozen or more of similar ships, heading for this small island that would in no way support the rest of the human population. As he is about to kill himself, someone stops him, and it is revealed that the boat isn't what it seems.
The second film is based in a post-apocalyptic world. I think it starts off with a father telling his daughter and son not to leave the shelter, or the sister is listening to a recording. Don't remember. The young brother ends up putting on his gas mask and leaves, it being revealed he only has one leg, the other is a synthetic one. He is listening to a recording on an old styled tape-player and ends up coming to a schoolyard. There he starts imagining things coming alive and kids his age starting to play, and one of them beckons him over. He takes off his gas mask and runs over and starts playing. By now, his sister has noticed he is missing, and goes to look for him. She finds him.
Does anyone know where to find these shorts, who made them, what website would have a lot of shorts like that that isn't youtube, or what they're even called? They were amazing quality and the website had lots of interesting videos.
