So, I just got out of a pretty long relationship and a bunch of people have been telling me their views on relationships and what it all means.

That got me to wondering... What is your view on love?

Love is when someone cares a lot and/or has feelings for another. That is pretty much how I see love.

It's an instinctive biological reaction to induce breeding with partners of acceptable genetic makeup.

But fuck me is it lovely.
And hellish when you don't have it.

Being an engineer, I only solve practical problems, BUT- I'll make an exception here.
Love is a mutual trust and care between people, something that conjures up sacrifices without any feasible repayment or justification on your part.
Also- it's awesome.

WHAT IS LOVE? BABY DON'T HURT ME!
JK

As a person who's never had a relationship and aspires to have one, I'd like to say love ain't easy. My situation with love has been incredibly complicated, mostly because for most of the time during junior high and high school I didn't know what to look for in a girl, I was extremely shy, and when I wasn't shy I was ambivalent about getting into a relationship.

So right now I have absolutely now idea when I'll get into one. However what's good for me is that I've changed a lot and communication and making friends with groups of people help a lot. I've also learned what kind of girl I like from my summer internship (met a babe of a girl who was taking the physics internship like me at the same school). While I don't know if I'll ever see her again, I know for sure that my first ever girlfriend will be awesome.

Get ready for page after page of our jaded community informing you that love is "nothing but chemicals telling you to have sex" or some crap.

I've been in love, its amazing. Having another person whom you trust completely, always by your side is just wonderful.

Love is all around, choosing love is an amazing feeling that will always make you happy. It is the antipode to fear and it is much harder to love than fear.

Romantic love is just love + sex. It is amazing, but unless you are truly open to love your partner than it is much frailer than normal love. However if you do truly love your partner than it can be just as strong, if not stronger.

I'll get back to you soon, I may finally have another chance, after years. And I've never been so excited in my life. It's a great feeling and people don't appreciate it enough, at least not when it actually matters.

MARCH!!!

Love is a way of feeling
Oh, love is a way of feeling less alone
So what's all the fuss about?!?

love - the paradox of needing
OH LOVE,
MAKE WAY FOR BREEDING
Give it to me

I know what I stand for;
I stand for me

I'll wait for the night to come
So far, suicide at home
For I'm not the man you know
This love it's about control

Oh what a feeling
Oh what a feeding
Know the chosen ones are here!
All hail

I'll wait for the night to come
So far, suicide at home
For I'm not the man you kno
This love,
Is about control, you fucker!

Gotta love SYL...

In a happier place? I joke...a bit :p

One of the things about love I find so interesting is that to get close to another human being the amount of trust it takes is amazing. You hear about how awful people can be to eachother in the news all the time, but even against all odds we can find another person we trust and care for enough to share part of our lives with. That even in our seemingly cruel and bleak world two flawed, fragile human beings find comfort in eachother.

I'm a romantic, can you tell?

Once again...

Like + Trust + Lust = Love

I married my best friend, who I trust implicitly, and who I enjoy great sex with.

Edit: IMO - I just love that cute formula my spouse came up with.
