Well, I got Mafia 1 for christmas, and just got around to playing it. But, Im stuck on that stupid ass racing mission, where I barely turn a corner and spin out like crazy. Theres, a skip race button, but everytime I press it it just says "you did not finish the race" and I'm forced to restart, is there any cheats or tips or anything to help me beat this level?

Get off the throttle in the corners. No need to apply the brakes, just make sure you're not gunning the gas pedal.

There was a very easy method.
There's a turn, which is the 'wrong way' and when there click the 'reset car' button (forget which one), that will spawn you near the finish line and just cross it to finish 1 lap.
Rinse and repeat.

The 'wrong way' turn is the sandy one, which is partly blocked.

I've tried that. I've tried alot of different things. I've actually gotten in first a few times, then spin out randomly. Maybe it just because I generally suck at anything racing related. Any explanation why the skip buttons not working?

Oh thanks Shirokurou, haven't tried that yet. I'll check it out.

EDIT: Holy crap it did work! Normally I'd feel bad about cheating but this level was impossible, thanks everyone who helped.
