As any hardcore Elder Scrolls fan may know, M'Aiq the Liar is a recurring character for the ES series. He appears in Morrowind, Oblivion, and now in Skyrim. My question for you: Is M'Aiq immortal? Because he survived the 200 years between Oblivion and Skyrim.

Also, he still owes me a fishy stick.

Actually made me think about that...I was intrigued,so a quick visit to the Elder Scrolls Wiki reveals..."M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, thats what he said."

In Skyrim, he said "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, thats what he said."

So the two M'aiq we met in the Mirrowind and Oblivion are the ancestors of the Skyrim one. But he is M'aiq the "Liar" after all.

M'iaq the Liar said he has never lied.

My brain exploded from my skull trying to figure out whether or not he was telling the truth.

M'Aiq the Liar is the other guy Divayth Fyr tried his potion on in Morrowind. He said it killed him, but M'Aiq was just in a very deep coma, waking up later, cured and ageless.

Oh boy! I can't wait to find the bugger! He's such a great character. And the funny thing is, he was lying about dragons in Morrowind.

M'iaq's probably like the god of all.
The very last game he'll reveal himself and destroy EVERYONE.
...
Oh wait that's my plan...

6 years, roughly. Morrowind starts in 3E 427 and Oblivion starts in 3E 433, but I believe it's unclear how long (canonically) the events of Morrowind lasted.

He's probably lying about that as well, he might be a vampire and therefore immortal or any number of things. We shall never know his secrets though...

I like to think that its like Grey Fox. M'Aiq the Liar is just a title, a job of sorts. There always has to be a M'Aiq in the world, no matter what age it is. Or maybe its a curse that travels from person to person, making it so they can only speak lies.

Or hell, maybe he's a lost Daedric Prince!

It is his Descendant.

He says so randomly
But his name is M'aiq THE LIAR. The original may be dead but it could be that the name M'Aiq is passed down, kind of like The Grey Cowl.

GAH! I knew I wasn't crazy when I met him!!

I was only way to Morthal around the mountains when I met him briefly, but he wouldn't speak tome because there was a bear nearby, which promptly kicked my ass all the way back to Whiterun. I haven't been able to find him since, so my girlfriend insists that I'm crazy. D:
