All of my friends are pretty big gamers (spend more time playing than me, at least), and they talk to each other about whatever they're playing. So a few days ago I decided to join a conversation about CoD6. I haven't followed CoD6, so I didn't even know it was announced, but I loved 2 and 4. So I asked them if the new game was going to be made by the "real developers" meaning Infinity Ward. They say no, and I say "that's too bad". Then I realize that Treyarch shouldn't have gotten the right to make it twice in a row, and I ask them who the "real" dev was. They tell me all about CoD3 and CoD5 and their wonders, while I vow secretly to never talk to them about this stuff again.

In a related thing, they also think Diamond and Pearl are the peak of the pokemon franchise and have never played old Final Fantasys while worshipping the DS versions. And...they don't like Deus Ex

They don't have the exact same opinoins as you? So what if they disagree with you about 3 games, or have never played final fantasy originals? My friend and I are in a band, and we have two completely different tastes in music, but we play together amazingly. I'd suggest you not decide to shun people out so quickly. Also, bringing your problems to a forum probably isn't a good idea. Sorry if this sounded harsh.

Edit #2: The problem is, Call of Duty and Pokemon are the only games they talk about. If I try to say anything about any other game they change the subject to those two.

As to the Call of Duty stuff; Call of Duty 6, or now officially Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is an Infinity Ward property. No need to worry there.

Well, there is, because the engine sucks anymore, being a proprietary fork of IdTech 3/Q3Engine. They seriously need a new engine.

Well obviously they are full on nooblets if they a amazed by treyarchs worked for it is so bad...CoD5 was not a complete failure but it was in manys ways no even comparable to CoD4
