in your experience of gaming, have you ever found yourself tearing up at a particular moment, whether due to happiness, sadness, or outright sheer epicness?

my example, Ace combat 5, final mission, the yukes (enemies for most of the game) and the oseans fly alongside each other, and sing this:

i literally was misting up.

what are your moments of manly tears?

Pretty much the entirety of Shadow of the Colossus. The protagonist gradually becomes more and more corrupt each time he kills one of the often non hostile and beautiful creatures and as they fall to the ground and the sad music plays one has to ask themselves, what have I done?

Also, near to the ending of Beyond good and evil a tragedy happens and its completely shocking and the last thing you want to happen but unfortunately the developers didnt have the balls to stick with it.

In my entire 22 years of existence, no video game has ever made me come anywhere close to crying.

Although, I have recently started my very first playthrough of The Walking Dead, so that may change.

To The Moon has recently made me a little misty eyed.

Especially when you find out who Joey really is and why River was making those rabbits.

Not a game per se but related AC: Embers, that made me sad certainly...i had kinda got used to Ezio, to an extent the last half of revelations too.

Oh and the end of Legacy of Kain: Defiance as well

One of the deaths in ME3, can't remember which one (so yay! No spoiler tags) but it really got me.

Lost oddesey 1000 years of memories short stories made me misty eyed on several occassions. Those storis are beautifully written and help identify with kaim .

Xenosaga episode 3 ending made me cry like a little ***** . The first and only time iv'e actually started crying ( loudly i may add ) from anything since i was about 13 . I played the series from xenosaga episode 1 to episode 3 back to back about 2 months ago . I didn't realise how much i got attached tothe characters until the ending cinemstic , which is where the tears started pooring . I'm ashamed to admit it , but my 11 year no crying streak was broken . Totally worth it .

Dragon Age: Origins. So many emotional highs and lows, but the song during the final credits was jaw-dropping.

Leaving that world behind always makes me feel like I've just lost a loved one forever.

Games that really moved me in a emotional sad way. Whether it made me tear up, feel sad or actually shed tears are: from the top of my head.

- Bioshock
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Heavy Rain
- Dear Esther
- Metal Gear Solid Series had some scenes that made me emotional
- Red Dead Redemption *Didn't expect that ending, I think I let a tear go*
- Halo Series had some scenes that made me emotional
- Dragon Age
- Fallout 3

- Lost Odyssey *This game probably made me the most emotional, I let several tears throughout the story. There is a certain death in the story that made me pretty emotional, and the 100 year memories, oh boy, some of those stories made me cry. Beautiful writing.

That's what I've been told by a good friend of mine. I finished Chapter 1 the other night and that pretty much set the stage/gave me a good idea of what I was getting myself into.

Some of those choices gave me very little time to think things over. I have never had a game do that before.

Call me impressed.
