I BEAT MASS EFFECT 2
WOW

Now, let me tell you what happend in my ending. Now after you read it, please tell me what ending you got. I only know of the ending I got, and please don't look at this thread if you have not beat the game yet.

[spoiler/] It started out with Shepered making love to Jack. (Yea, I ended up with her.) As we entered Omega 4, Jack was shot by a laser, Legion was blown up in the core, and the fish alian was impaled. I choose Garrus to comand the troop and the docter to go through the vents. The docter died after escaping. I choose Grunt to go back and save others, Sammus (or the blue chick) to help use past the bugs, and Zaeed to lead the troop. Zaeed is killed. In the end, I decide not to save the human reaper, and fight it to the death. I blow him up,save Tali, and my team escapes on the ship, blowing the collectors away. After this, Illusive man is angry, but I say I will work by my own rules. Shepered looks out into space, after saing goodbye to the dead, and you can see the Reapers coming.

And I later mated with Tali (LOL I GOT BOTH IN THE SAME FILE!)
WELL THAT'S WHAT HAPPEND, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
What happend to you?

Garrus got killed by the Seeker Swarms 'cos I trusted Miranda to do something other than talk in a sexy accent and have an arse that should be a traffic violation. I was sad.

Everyone else survived me blowing up the station, but Garrus remains my favourite character in Mass Effect. And the only one that died on my main playthrough. Bastard game.

Thane copped it when the ship went through the debris field, Jack got eaten by a swarm of bugs. Everyone else survived. I blew the human Reaper and destroyed the station, meaning the Illusive Man was pissed, but my crew were loyal to me, so screw him.

I'm sorry for being all out hostile but Jesus, the search bar is on the top right corner of the website. It's impossible to miss.

No problem tho. Just remember to use it next time.

I didn't comment in the other topic, so here is goes-

Didn't have a romance first playthrough (currently on second). I lost Legion when he stuck his face out of the door, which made me really glad I didn't choose Tali. Garrus lead groups, sent Thane, who died, helping the people back to the ship. Only two casualties, and blew up the Reaper. Who didn't?

[spoiler/] I began by having awkward weird alien sex with Garrus (yes, I played a chick, male shepherds voice actor is terrible). We neared the collector base. The normandy hull stood strong again the eye robot things and we destroyed the collector ship. However I didn't have good enough kinetic barriers. Legion was killed when the core exploded.

I decided to send Tali into the vents to clear the way and have Garrus lead the other group. We made it though this entire section with no one snuffing it. From there I had Jack make a shield for us, Tali take the rescued crew back to the ship, and Thane lead the 2nd party. Tali and Jack survived, Thane was killed.

Finally we faced the Human Reaper. I decided to blow the whole place to hell rather than to save it, I'm not about to keep a fucking reaper around. Once me, Garrus and Grunt had defeated it we made our way to the ship. Miranda had died defending the doors.

We made it back to the ship, flew away, the collector base blew up, the Illusive man was pissed, a fuck load of reapers turned up. The End.

It was a fucking good ending too. I'm starting my second play though tomorrow.
I got loyalty with all my team mates and all ship upgrades (so nobody died getting to the station). I had legion go through the vents to disable the doors. Garrus led the other team whilst Miranda, Jacob and I shot up the station. We all make it to a door and close it off. We find the crew and I send Jacob to escort them back (he and the crew make it). I had Garrus hold the line with the rest of the team while me, Miranda, Tali and Samara (whom held up the shield) make it through the swarms. We encounter the human-reaper thing and we destroy it. I then tell the Illusive Man to fuck off and I blow up the station. Everyone makes it out alive.

Learn their strengths, morality and expertise. IE: Garrus is a good squad leader and is technically good with a few bits of grey and really can hold a grudge. Also upgrade the Normandy as best as you can and gain everyones loyalty. If you want to save the crew go through the Omega 4 relay as soon as they are taken.

I beat the game with no one dying and I hardly talked to anyone. Everyone but Thane and Jack were loyal to me. I was mostly paragon. I had the fully upgraded Normandy, Legion went through the vents while Miranda led the second team. The next time we split up Jacob led the second team, and I made the doctor go back alone. She died(so I guess that counts as a death, but she wasn't exactly a main character even though we did get drunk together) and I made Samara create the biotic barrier from the goddam bugs. Then I beat the giant reaper thing with Mordin and Samara in my team. Everyone alive, hooray!

I guess it's the latter. But also seems to be a matter of what ship upgrades you do.

I didn't upgrade any parts of the ship because I didn't want to spend a lot of time with mining.
So for me, too, Legion, Jack and Thane got blewn up. I had gotten Legion just before going there, so I wasn't really familiar with him yet. Seemed to be a cool character but I wasn't too sad.
Jack and Thane, yes, I hated these two so it's a good thing they died.
Had Jacob crawl through the vents and then he died pushing that door close. I guessed the character who did this would die, so I chose Jacob because he was my least favorite among the nominees.
Well, the Normandy crew died because I didn't send anyone to escort them back it seems. I actually did this because I guessed that whoever I'd send with them would die (sort of a tradeoff) but I didn't want to lose any more of my squad.
Might have been good to send Samara because I don't like her either, but now that I read that Miranda fails with the barrier and someone else gets killed by the swarm, I'm glad I selected Samara to keep the swarm away. She strugglied a bit in the end and I was hoping she might collapse, and that Grunt and I would have to run for it and leave her so she'd die, but in the end she made it.
Oh and I had Garrus as the leader of the other team, but he survived, luckily. Might be because I was in sort of a relationship with him, although an awkward one.

Also, I didn't blow up the station. Just set the bomb to produce a nuclear impulse or something, so all the collectors would be destroyed and it could be used later as an outpost or something.

By the way, I'm a bit disappointed by the story. I mean it's actually really short, if you thing about it. They notice the collectors turning up, decide they have to stop them and do that by going through the omega 4 relay, and then they do this and, well, stop them. It's so basic and simple, no twists and turns at all. Isn't that boring?
I didn't play the first one, so I don't know. Is it as schematic as this game? I mean it's like... modular. o_O
There's the optional sidequests, but none of them serve any purpose in the story whatsoever and not of it connects anywhere. So I convinced Mordin to keep that other salarian guy alive and then to keep the genophage cure research for himself... now what? It just ends there, do I have to wait till ME3 comes out to see some sort of impact? And it's like that with all the side missions, nothing's interwoven, all it does is change some of the dialogue slightly.
Most of the sublots themselves weren't too exciting either. They would have been really really short, actually, if Bioware hadn't decided to shoehorn lots of fights into almost each of them.
So I decided to keep the evidence and have Tali expelled from her people, just like she wanted me to. Now what? It doesn't make much of a difference, except opening her last ability. A bit disappointing, yes..

Ah, I was bragging in the other thread about how everyone survived and how much I ruled but now I realise some of my non-combatant crew had not made it... I guess I dawdled a bit before going through the relay... Showing off legion around the citadel etc...

Kelly Chambers was quite graphically turned to mush in a blender-like-pod and Scotty (in Engineering) had apparently lost his girlfriend... That actually made me sad listening to him. After hearing Dr Chakwas's complaints about me not making it in time I suppose she makes sense now, at them time I thought those people were always meant to die. I'll see if I can save them on my next playthrough.

I actually don't understand why anyone wouldn't play Mass Effect before playing Mass Effect 2. There is so much reference to what you have done in the first game (probably too much actually, I was paragon but after noticing the trend I thought to myself, "If I see Conrad Verner I'm going to blow his brains out!"... Damn my good natured Shepherd, damn him!).

Long story short, you need to have played ME1 to fully appreciate ME2. It's like watching the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars before watching the Original Trilogy...
